Jon Batiste makes music feel powerful, human, and true.

Last November in Milan, I had the privilege of meeting him and witnessing his concert at the Teatro Dal Verme, with him choosing to play seated on the Kaunus Astor.

Moments like this shape a year.
And as a new one begins, my wish is to keep meeting artists who play with honesty and soul — and to stand quietly beside their music.
