Meet Perreira de Jesus, your Caleta Facilitator ✨

Born and raised in London, Perreira is a professional dancer, choreographer and bachata teacher with a background spanning ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz and Latin dance. A graduate of Performers College, his professional career has taken him around the world performing in Matthew Bourne productions including Swan Lake, Edward Scissorhands and Sleeping Beauty.

He brings that experience into his bachata through movement quality, musicality, body awareness and expression, together with the warmth and energy that make him such a natural fit as a facilitator.

At Bachata Week, Perreira will be your Caleta Facilitator, joining your classes, leading your Guided Practica, connecting the group and being a familiar face you can turn to throughout the week.

This year, our groups are named after places in Cádiz, giving each one a little piece of the city to call their own. La Caleta takes its name from the city’s iconic little beach, nestled between two castles and famous for its sunsets and unmistakable Cádiz character.

Meet A***n, your Cortadura & Catedral Facilitator 💚

Based in London, A***n is a dancer and teacher committed to continually developing his craft, including participating in the prestigious La Negra Pasos Libres competition.

Together with Kimberly Hoopes, he runs a dance school in London, where they bring their shared focus on technique, growth and intentional training to their community.

At Bachata Week, A***n will facilitate Cortadura & Catedral, joining your classes, leading your Guided Practica, connecting the groups and being a familiar face you can turn to throughout the week.

This year, our groups are named after places in Cádiz, giving each one a little piece of the city to call their own. Cortadura takes its name from the long Atlantic beach connecting Cádiz with the mainland, while Catedral represents one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks and the heart of its historic centre.

Meet Oscar & Raquel, your Pópulo Facilitators ❤️

Originally from Spain and now based in Amsterdam, Oscar & Raquel run Pasito Dance School, where they teach and grow their local bachata community.

What makes their approach particularly interesting is their focus on individual dancer development. At Pasito, they have created a personal dance coaching programme where dancers are assessed individually, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, then creating a personalised development pathway with targeted training and guidance.

At Bachata Week, they’ll be your Pópulo Facilitators, joining your classes, leading your Guided Practica, connecting the group and being familiar faces you can turn to throughout the week.

This year, our groups are named after places in Cádiz, giving each one a little piece of the city to call their own. El Pópulo is the historic heart of Cádiz, considered one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Europe, with its narrow streets and centuries of history.

Meet Iman & Nadina, your La Viña Facilitators ❤️

Joining us from London, Iman & Nadina are the co-owners of La Fábrica Dance School and founders of BachaZouk UK. Iman is an international Jack & Jill winner, and together they’re known for their deep appreciation of technique, connection and quality of movement.

Their philosophy goes beyond learning different styles. Drawing from Traditional Bachata, Bachata Moderna, Bachata Sensual and Brazilian Zouk, they explore the principles that connect them, helping dancers become more technically informed, adaptable, musical and intentional in their movement.

At Bachata Week, they’ll be your La Viña Facilitators, joining your classes, leading your Guided Practica, connecting the group and being familiar faces you can turn to throughout the week.

This year, our groups are named after places in Cádiz, giving each one a little piece of the city to call their own. La Viña is Cádiz’s historic fishermen’s quarter, a neighbourhood full of character, tradition and local spirit.

Meet Carlito el Chinito, your Santa María Facilitator 🧡

Based in Shanghai, Carlito is one of the most active international representatives of the Chinese Bachata community. A multiple international and regional Jack & Jill champion, he will represent China for the second consecutive year at the Bachata Social Dance World Cup.

Carlito’s journey began more than 12 years ago in Australia, an experience that shaped his belief in international exchange, open-minded learning and constantly exploring new ideas.

Today, that vision drives his work across China and Asia. From pioneering Jack & Jill competitions in China to introducing new artists, concepts and training methodologies, Carlito has helped build a community that encourages dancers to train with purpose, stay curious and keep evolving.

At Bachata Week, he joins us as your Santa María Facilitator, joining your classes, leading your Guided Practica, connecting the group and being your go-to person throughout the week.
