At Voces en el Pirineo, we also celebrate choirs that make music a space for connection, learning and community. The Universidad Ciudadana Choir from Huesca is one of them, and we are truly delighted to welcome them to the first edition of the festival.

Since its foundation in 2018, this mixed choir has brought together around forty-five singers who share the same passion for choral music and lifelong learning. Their repertoire, performed in a variety of languages and dialects, reflects an openness to different cultures and traditions, making every performance an opportunity to discover new horizons.

Beyond music, the choir takes an active role in civic and social initiatives, believing that singing together also means fostering values such as solidarity, respect, inclusion and commitment to others.

Founded and conducted by Isabel Arilla, the choir is built on the conviction that making music together enriches people’s lives and strengthens the bonds within a community.

En Voces en el Pirineo también queremos celebrar aquellos coros que hacen de la música un espacio de encuentro, aprendizaje y convivencia. El Coro de la Universidad Ciudadana de Huesca es uno de ellos, y nos alegra profundamente darles la bienvenida a esta primera edición del festival.

Desde su creación en 2018, este coro mixto reúne a cerca de cuarenta y cinco personas que comparten una misma pasión por el canto y el aprendizaje. Su repertorio, interpretado en diferentes idiomas y dialectos, refleja una mirada abierta a distintas culturas y tradiciones, haciendo de cada obra una oportunidad para descubrir nuevos horizontes.

Más allá de la música, el coro participa activamente en iniciativas de carácter cívico y social, convencido de que cantar juntos también significa construir valores como la solidaridad, el respeto, la convivencia y el compromiso con los demás.

Fundado y dirigido por Isabel Arilla, el proyecto nace de la convicción de que la música compartida tiene el poder de enriquecer la vida de las personas y fortalecer los lazos de una comunidad.

Some choirs have a long history, while others begin writing theirs with confidence from day one. Teselas Ensemble Vocal is one of them, and we are delighted to welcome them to the first edition of Voces en el Pirineo.

Founded in 2022 by its conductor and a group of singers committed to artistic excellence, Teselas Ensemble Vocal was created with the aim of exploring a repertoire that spans every period of music history, with a special focus on the 20th and 21st centuries.

In just a few years, the ensemble has established itself as one of the most promising young choirs in Spain, performing at renowned festivals and concert series. In 2026, they were awarded the Second Prize and the “David Tellechea” Audience Award at the 52nd National Choral Competition of Ejea de los Caballeros. (Instagram⁠)

Hay coros con una larga historia, y otros que comienzan a escribir la suya con paso firme desde el primer día. Teselas Ensemble Vocal es uno de ellos, y nos alegra enormemente darles la bienvenida a la primera edición de Voces en el Pirineo.

Nacido en 2022 por iniciativa de su director y de un grupo de cantantes comprometidos con la excelencia musical, Teselas Ensemble Vocal surge con el propósito de explorar un repertorio que abarca todas las épocas de la historia de la música, con una especial dedicación a los siglos XX y XXI.

En muy pocos años, el ensemble ha logrado hacerse un hueco en el panorama coral español, participando en destacados festivales y ciclos musicales y siendo reconocido en 2026 con el Segundo Premio y el Premio del Público "David Tellechea" en el LII Certamen Coral Nacional de Ejea de los Caballeros.

Join us for a weekend of music, friendship and unforgettable performances in one of the most beautiful mountain regions of Spain.

Some choirs are born on a stage, while others are born within a community. Coral de Sobrarbe is one of them, and it is a true pleasure to welcome them to the first edition of Voces en el Pirineo.

Founded in 2004 by a group of local music and singing enthusiasts, Coral de Sobrarbe has grown into a choir of more than thirty voices from across the Sobrarbe region. People from many different walks of life who share the same passion: enjoying music and sharing it with others.

After its first years under the direction of M.ª Teresa Alcaine, the choir has continued its journey since 2016 with Lucía Pérez, keeping alive the enthusiasm, friendship and commitment that inspired the project from the very beginning.

We are delighted to welcome Te Deum Adoramus to the first edition of Voces en el Pirineo! It is a true privilege to welcome this outstanding chamber ensemble from Bulgaria to the heart of the Pyrenees.

Founded in Sofia in 1997, Te Deum Adoramus takes audiences on a journey through centuries of music, from the Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary works, Orthodox music and masterpieces of Bulgaria’s rich musical heritage.

Throughout its career, the ensemble has taken part in numerous international choral festivals and has received prestigious awards, establishing itself as one of Bulgaria’s leading choral ensembles.

Under the direction of its founder, Teodora Dimitrova, Associate Professor at the National Academy of Music in Sofia and an internationally recognised conductor, the ensemble has developed a distinctive musical identity that continues to captivate audiences across Europe.

✨ A sound arriving from Bulgaria.

Los mejores recuerdos de un coro no siempre ocurren sobre el escenario.

Nacen en los viajes compartidos, en las conversaciones después de los conciertos, en los lugares que descubrimos juntos y en las amistades que permanecen cuando la música termina.

En Voces en el Pirineo queremos ofrecer precisamente eso: un encuentro donde cantar sea también conocer, convivir y crecer junto a personas de otros lugares.

Porque las voces nos unen, pero son las personas las que dan sentido al viaje.

Hoy os presentamos al coro anfitrión de Voces en el Pirineo: el Coro Els Pitarrois del Freixe.

Un coro nacido en el Valle de Benasque, unido por la música, la amistad y el amor a nuestra tierra.

Desde aquí, desde el corazón del Pirineo aragonés, nos hace mucha ilusión abrir las puertas de nuestro valle y recibir a coros de otros lugares.
