Stop learning flamenco the wrong way.
Flamenco is not a dance. It’s a culture.
In Spain, it doesn’t start in the studio. It starts at home — barefoot, listening, feeling compás. If you skip this, you get lost. That’s why so many dancers feel stuck, even after years.
I know, because I was there.
I’m a Japanese flamenco dancer based in Spain. I started late, with no background in dance or music, coming from finance. I moved to Spain alone and built everything from zero.
For 15 years, I’ve worked as a professional flamenco dancer, performed on TV, and shared the stage with the Gypsy Kings — while raising two kids.
Flamenco is not talent. It’s how you learn.
90% is effort — but only if it’s the right way.
This video is Bulerías zapateado — but more importantly, it’s about understanding what you’re actually doing when you dance.
Flamenco Online Course starts April 15th, 20:00 (Spain time).
