Muestra exposiciones periódicas de artistas infrarrepresentados que se especializan en arte performativo y visual. A través de este proyecto, un piso habitado se transforma en una galería de arte viviente. El pasillo, el salón e incluso el baño de nuestro apartamento acogen exposiciones periódicas de una duración de 24 horas, convirtiendo así la Micro en un contrapeso doméstico
a espacios instituc
ionales donde el arte es habitualmente expuesto. La Micro reta a sus asistentes a repensar su definición de exposición y alienta a los artistas a relacionarse con espacios de uso cotidiano. Este proyecto quiere dar espacio a prácticas artísticas de valor mientras pone sobre la mesa como cuestión fundamental qué sucede cuando el arte vuelve a casa.

La micro is a shared flat in the city of Barcelona that works as an artist-centred exhibition space. It showcases the periodical exhibition of underrepresented artists working in the visual and performing arts. With this project, an inhabited apartment transforms into a living art gallery. The corridors, the living room, and even the bathroom of our flat periodically welcome 24-hour long exhibitions, converting la micro into a domestic counterpart of dominant institutionalized spaces where art is usually exhibited. La micro challenges participants to re-think their definition of art exhibition and encourages artists to relate to everyday living spaces. This project wants to give room to valuable artistic practice while raising the fundamental question of what happens when art comes back home.
