WE CELEBRATE!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
We are honored to welcome Alon Farber, saxophonist from Israel to our international collective! ⭐️🎷
For more than 25 years, Alon Farber Hagiga has developed one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Israeli jazz.
Founded in 2001 by saxophonist and composer Alon Farber, Hagiga creates original music that draws from the language of jazz while reflecting the cultural diversity of Israeli life. New York swing, Israeli folk melodies, Middle Eastern harmonies, Moroccan colors, funk and Afro-Latin rhythms meet within a musical framework that balances detailed composition with freedom, interaction and improvisation.
The ensemble has released six albums through respected international jazz labels, including Fresh Sound Records in Barcelona, QFTF in Berlin and Origin Records in Seattle. Its most recent release, Dreams I Dream, is Hagiga’s third album for Origin Records and celebrates 25 years of artistic activity.
Hagiga has performed at festivals and venues throughout Israel and abroad, including the Paris Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Jerusalem International Jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival and OCT-LOFT Jazz Festival in Shenzhen. The group has toured China, Germany and South America, where its 2025 tour included performances in Peru, Brazil and Argentina.
International critics have consistently praised the group’s originality, ensemble chemistry and ability to combine sophisticated writing with an immediate and energetic performance style.
