Fall of the German-American Fourth Reich Alliance — Memories of WW4. Oil on canvas 200 x 300 cm.
My paintings live in an alternate version of Earth, a parallel dimension, a reflection of our world. Germany and the United States were allied during the Second World War. An uneasy alliance that formed a regime which would rule the world until its demise at the ending of the Fourth World War. In this world military might is celebrated above all else.
The worst of the worse. The lowest of the low. The slimiest of the slick with the trickiest trick. This Captain made his career through tactical son-of-a-bitchery the likes of which no one has ever seen. But it was his interrogation techniques, the way in which he would bring even the most battle-hardened bastard to tears, that earned him the nickname “Captain Crybaby”. A man with no family, no relatives, but an unwavering devotion to The Alliance. If he loves anything at all, he loves Lieutenant Lingerie. As previously mentioned, she was born into the military; and although their property, the Captain views her as his daughter. After all, it is likely that she might actually be, since he has on occasion donated to the breeding program. Although she was raised by the military, it was really the Captain that raised her. His politics are hers. His brutality hers. And because of his influence she was assigned to lead the fastest fleet of zeppelin. The zeppelin with the longest tentacles, the most aggressive scrapers of the ground.
The Captain trains a herd of genetically engineered walrus. Engineered for speed and with hides that are practically bullet proof. They too have rank, and to identify them the Captain has their tusks painted black or red or gold. This world has a lot less land than does ours, and so for the most part war is fought in the skies and seas. The Captain’s walrus are an invaluable force when sacrificing themselves against torpedos, and when swarming they can open the bottom of an enemy ship like so many can openers. Such sights are beautiful to him, and although highly disciplined and ordered, he is truly the Captain of chaos.
