The FEDEC has learned with sadness of the passing of Philippe Haenen, former Director of ESAC and one of the first Presidents of the FEDEC.
As Director of ESAC, one of the three founding schools of the FEDEC in 1998, Philippe Haenen contributed to the creation and development of our network.
During his time as President, he worked to strengthen cooperation between circus schools in Europe and played an important role in finding European funding opportunities for the FEDEC.
Thanks to his commitment and efforts, the network was able to build the foundations of the operational grant that supports its activities today.
The FEDEC Board, team and members would like to express their sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
Our thoughts are with all those who worked with him and contributed, alongside him, to the development of the FEDEC.

La FEDEC a appris avec tristesse le décès de Philippe Haenen, ancien directeur de l’ESAC et l’un des premiers présidents de la FEDEC.
En tant que directeur de l’ESAC, l’une des trois écoles fondatrices de la FEDEC en 1998, Philippe Haenen a joué un rôle important dans la création et le développement de notre réseau.
Durant sa présidence, il a contribué au renforcement de la coopération européenne dans le domaine de la formation professionnelle aux arts du cirque et a joué un rôle déterminant dans l’identification des opportunités de financement européen pour la FEDEC.
Son engagement et sa détermination ont contribué à poser les bases du soutien opérationnel qui permet aujourd’hui au réseau de poursuivre ses activités.
Le Conseil d’administration, l’équipe et les membres de la FEDEC adressent leurs sincères condoléances à sa famille, ses proches et ses collègues.
