During Circus Connect in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Circonsenso project was presented to our European network. 🎪

On May 7 and 8, project coordinators Miguel Manzano Olmos and Federico Cortés introduced the initiative to over 30 attendees, including board members and staff from European Youth Circus Organisation the Caravan Circus, and FEDEC

CIRCONSENSO is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project focused on professionalizing circus trainer education across Latin America. Coordinated by Federación de Escuelas de Circo Socio Educativo, the project's main goals include:

- Developing a Competency Framework adapted to the Latin American reality, aligned with European standards.

- Implementing quality assurance systems in Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.

- Seeking institutional recognition to reduce job precariousness and foster social inclusion.

Sharing updates from Circus Connect 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. 🎪

On May 7 and 8, the CIRCONSENSO project was presented to board members and staff from three European circus federations: European Youth Circus Organisation, Caravan Circus, and FEDEC .

Project coordinators Miguel Manzano Olmos and Federico Cortés from Federación de Escuelas de Circo Socio Educativo led the presentation, engaging with more than 30 international attendees focused on circus education. This initiative marks an important step in professionalizing circus trainer education and building strategic alliances between European and Latin American networks. 🌍🤝

Circus Connect 2026 has officially wrapped up in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. 🎪🌊

Over the lastdays, representatives from EYCO, Caravan, and FEDEC gathered to exchange practices and discuss the future of our sector. This reel captures a few moments from our time together, from morning coffees by the sea to our working sessions and presentations.

It was a highly productive seminar, and we appreciate the shared knowledge and the community spirit from everyone who attended. Safe travels to all our partners heading home today!

This Saturday marks our annual EYCO General Assembly in Gran Canaria. 🎪🌴

Our network will gather to review the annual reports, elect new representatives, and renew our board of directors.

It is an important moment to collaborate and plan the next steps for youth circus advocacy across Europe. We are so happy to meet this great team again!

Over two days, European and international circus networks will gather to strengthen cooperation and shape the future of our sector. A key focus for this gathering is mental health and well-being within circus organisations and their staff.

We look forward to exchanging practices, exploring new partnerships, and sharing the community spirit and 'buena vibra' of the island together.
