Not many photos of me from the IAC Congress exist, but this is one of the few official ones. 📸

It's been an incredibly intensive year (and summer), so I've been holding back on Instagram posts. But this moment deserves a pause.

As I told many old and new colleagues — one day in Jingdezhen felt like three days in Norway. And trust me, Oslo keeps me busy enough as it is! 😅

Meeting people I've known for years through international art activity — refreshing old friendships, starting new ones, sparking collaborations, sharing ideas — was a gift. It felt like reconnecting with my old self.

Some moments are unforgettable, especially when you're reminded we're all part of a bigger structure. We meet in different parts of the world, and in the end, friendships and collaborations are everything. That's why it's so important to be good to each other — but also to stay real.

I want to highlight that this stay was fully funded by .pl (Instytut Adama Mickiewicza) with support from Norske Kunsthåndverkere (Norske Kunsthåndverkere) reisestøtte — thank you for making this possible. 🙏

The outcomes of the conversations we had will be seen in years to come. I'm so glad to have learned, shared, and participated in this amazing event — and to see Jingdezhen again, and how it's grown since my last visit.

Some places change. Some connections stay. And some just grow deeper.

Hard to forget Jingdezhen… especially now that you can actually play the pottery! 🏺🎮

It's been a whirlwind — between the Resonance Exhibition opening, late-night opening talks, and the incredible energy of the AIC/IAC Congress, this city has truly left its mark on me.

And just when I thought I couldn't miss it more — the Jingdezhen Heritage Game is now LIVE, bringing the ancient art of porcelain to your fingertips, wherever you are. 🤯

Watching this game come to life made me realize how powerful technology can be in bridging the gap between ancient craft and new generations. It's not just a game — it's a door into Jingdezhen's ceramic history, its UNESCO-worthy heritage, and the hands-on spirit that makes this city the heart of porcelain.

Games like this make cultural heritage fun, accessible, and global. And honestly? That's exactly the kind of resonance we need.

And hey — if you're in Jingdezhen right now:
The Resonance Exhibition is still open until July 31! Come see the Egg Vessels, the Norwegian contemporary works, and the beautiful dialogue between East and West.

This whole journey — the exhibition, the game, the connections — wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of:

🇵🇱 Instytut Adama Mickiewicza Culture.pl
🇳🇴 Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai in Shanghain (facilitated by Torbjørn Kvasbø)

(P.S. This is my "just-in-time" post — game is fresh out, exhibition is still glowing, and I'm still buzzing from it all. Go try it!)

The Resonance Exhibition
The Egg Vessels & Group Exhibition of Norwegian Contemporary Ceramics

The congress will feature the Group Exhibition of Norwegian Contemporary Ceramics Resonance, a curated presentation showcasing the breadth and vitality of Norway’s contemporary ceramic scene.

This group exhibition places Norwegian ceramic practices in direct conversation with works by international resident artists and Jingdezhen‑based practitioners. Through this cross‑cultural framework, the exhibition highlights: Material traditions — how inherited techniques evolve through contemporary practice, Artistic research — the role of experimentation, process, and conceptual inquiry, Contemporary ceramic expression — diverse approaches that reflect global perspectives

The exhibition creates a dynamic platform where ideas, forms, and cultural histories intersect — a space where Norwegian ceramic identity resonates within an international context.

My participation is made possible with the generous support of Norske Kunsthåndverkere and Networks via Culture.pl Instytut Adama Mickiewicza, whose commitment to international artistic exchange enables Norwegian and Polish artists to engage in global dialogue.

Goodbye, Norway. Hello, next chapter. 🔴🥚✨

The Ferrari Red Egg Vessels have finished their time on exhibition here. They were seen. They were felt. They started conversations.

But this is not an ending.

Next stop: Jingdezhen, China.
The Jingdezhen Resonance Exhibition – a new setting, a new colour story, a new context.

The vessels will return to the place where their porcelain bodies were first born – at Franz Collection in Jingdezhen, the ancient porcelain capital of the world. But this time, they arrive differently. Older. Wiser. Carrying scars of two Kintsugi restorations in gold. Bathed in Ferrari Red.

What will Jingdezhen Resonance look like?
A different palette. A different dialogue. The same soul.

Stay tuned.

These vessels have traveled far. They are not finished. Not yet.

Thank you to everyone in Norway who stood before this red. Who looked closely. Who felt something.

Now – China waits.

Broken not once, but twice. Restored with gold, both times. 🔴✨

This is Kintsugi Ferrari Red – a one-of-a-kind piece from my Egg Vessels Collection.

Inspired by the raw energy of abstract expressionism and the soul of classic automobiles, this vessel lived a life of its own. After an accident, it could have been discarded. Instead, it was fully restored using the ancient Japanese technique of Kintsugi – where cracks are filled with carat gold.

That first restoration gave it new meaning: the beauty of imperfection, the dignity of scars.

But this piece has a rare story. It was restored twice. Each break, each repair added another layer of history, soul, and quiet power. The gold veins you see today are not just repairs – they are chapters.

This is not a vessel that hides its past. It wears it with pride.

34cm x 26cm x 26cm. Hand-painted in carat gold. Completed in 2020. Still alive. Still speaking.

Kintsugi Ferrari Red – because what breaks us can make us more beautiful.

You may have seen these vessels before. But not like this. 🔴🥚

The Ferrari Red Egg Vessels have existed for some time – but this spring, for the very first time, they were presented as a complete collection here in Norway.

Together. In full voice. Unapologetic.

Crafted in porcelain. Bathed in a red that demands attention. The egg form represents eternal life, origin, cosmic potential. In Ferrari Red, it becomes fire. Drive. The artist's pulse.

No platinum. No earth tones. Just red – powerful, precise, declared.

This was their Norwegian debut as a collection. And now, after the exhibition, they continue their journey – together.

Red is not a colour. It is a statement. 🔴🥚

Introducing the Ferrari Red Egg Vessels – a new chapter within my ongoing egg vessel universe.

While the Universe Egg Vessels shimmer with carat gold, and the Obvara collection speaks in earth and smoke – the Ferrari Red vessels burn with a different energy. Passion. Power. Precision.

Crafted in porcelain. Bathed in a red that demands attention. Unapologetic. Bold.

The egg form represents eternal life, origin, cosmic potential. But in Ferrari Red? It represents fire. Drive. The artist's pulse.

Because art has a responsibility not only to question – but also to feel. To declare. To be seen.

Watch the video. Let the red move you.
