It didn't always feel like this.
You used to go to a club to discover

There was a special kind of tension
in not knowing what's coming next
That was the art of a DJ set.
But today, it feels different
We wait for the tracks we already know
The safe drops we've already seen.
Recognition became the goal
Not discovery Not surprise
Just instant reaction.
Playing what people know is easy
It gets a reaction every single time
No risk involved.
And when DJs stop taking risks
the journey disappears It becomes a playlist not a performance.
We started going out to recognize
To feel something familiar
But is that why we fell in love with it?
The best DJs don't give you what you know
They show you something new
Something you didn't expect.
There is still magic in the unexpected
In moments where you lose control
because you don't know what's coming.
There are still DJs who take that risk
Who trust the process more than the reaction.
The magic didn't disappear
It's just waiting for someone brave enough to bring it back
Not enough brave of us still exist
