Behind the scenes of our work on the audiovisual production for “Black Ancient Futures (BAF)” at MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, Lisbon.

Ggs Productions was responsible for the audiovisual elements of the exhibition — contributing to its immersive atmosphere and dialogue between sound, movement, and technology.

Curated by Camila Maissune and João Pinharanda, Black Ancient Futures brought together artists from across the African diaspora to imagine alternative futures and challenge dominant cultural narratives.

Just before the world changed, we had the chance to dive into Julian Opie’s universe — bold, minimal, instantly recognizable.
We were at CCB, surrounded by light, lines, and the quiet hum of production energy.
Looking back, it feels like a different lifetime — but the creativity, the people, and that moment of stillness before the storm still resonate deeply.
