The History of our brand new top quality oil-based paint:
ARS Pictorica has been developed thanks to the “know-how” of a Spanish goup specialised in Painting and Fine Art material manufacturing since 1933. Master Oil colors by ARS Pictorica were elaborated thanks to craft methods used by the best painters of the 15th century. The ARS Pictorica painting is composed of the finest vegetal oils and
the purest quality of powdered pigments. After artistic investigations and a chemical research process, a formulation which is above all the standards of quality ever known till now is about to be available. The principal features of this new product of top quality rely on the high performance and the stability of the color in the tube, the resistance to the light of all the colors of the range and a high consistency of the paste thanks to the high concentration of pigments most appreciated by the artists. Different drying vegetal oils were used according to the pigments chosen in order to avoid yellow marks overtime and improve the final pictorial film. These oils are obtained after the first cold pressing of the seeds that were used by the ancient masters. The natural brightness of the color range was obtained regardless of the use of mineral fillers. In each tube of ARS Pictorica, the artist will enjoy the best concentration of pure pigments and oil which is the one of the most important part of the elaboration because it enables the artist to produce clean undertones when mixing the colors. The opacity of the colors depends on the features of each and every pigment used in the preparation. The transparency and the opacity of the pigments depend directly on the refractive index to light. No additives were added in order to avoid further undesirable effects such as spalling, yellowing and thickening. Each tube has a unique identification number that guarantees its quality and traceability. A leaflet exposing all the features of every color is supplied with the packaging. In each tube of ARS PICTORICA, the artist will be pleased to discover the quality of a maximal concentration of oil and pure pigments. The majority of the colors are elaborated with only one type of pigment which is the most important feature if you want the tones to be incredibly clean. Desarrollado por el grupo artesano Jaurena Art, fabricante especializado en Materiales para las Bellas Artes desde 1933. Los colores al óleo ARS Pictórica de Calidad Maestra, han sido elaborados de acuerdo a los métodos artesanales utilizados por los grandes maestros del siglo XV. Para su preparación han sido seleccionados, aceites vegetales y pigmentos de alta calidad y pureza. Después de una importante de investigación química y artística, se ha logrado una formulación que supera todos los estándares de calidad conocidos, siendo sus características principales: completa estabilidad del color en tubo, máximo rendimiento, la solidez a la luz de todos los pigmentos de la gama y una alta consistencia de masa, debido a la alta concentración de pigmento, muy apreciado para los artistas. Según el pigmento se han usado aceites vegetales secantes diferentes para evitar el amarilleo o mejorar la película pictórica final. Estos aceites provienen de la primera prensada en frío de las semillas, como los que empleaban los antiguos maestros. El brillo natural de los colores de la gama, se ha obtenido prescindiendo del uso de cargas minerales. En cada tubo de colores ARS Pictórica, el artista encontrará la mayor concentración posible de pigmento puro y aceite. Esto es muy importante al realizar mezclas de colores, ya que los subtonos obtenidos poseen una limpieza muy apreciada por el artista. La opacidad de los colores depende directamente de la característica de cada pigmento en especial. La opacidad y transparencia de los pigmentos varía en relación directa con su índice de refracción a la luz. No se han incorporado aditivos de ningún tipo, para evitar posteriores efectos indeseables como: cuarteado, amarilleo, o espesamiento. Cada tubo lleva una identificación numérica propia que lo identifica y garantiza su calidad y su trazabilidad, junto con un folleto explicativo de las cualidades. En cada tubo de ARS PICTORICA, el artista encontrará la concentración máxima de puro pigmento y aceite. La mayoría de colores están formulados con un solo pigmento, característica sumamente importante a la hora de mezclar porque los tonos resultantes tienen una limpieza extraordinaria.
