Permitted Vulnerability is the first solo presentation in Spain by Georgian artist and curator Gvantsa Jishkariani.

The exhibition brings together works moving between textile, language, craft and appropriation. Starting from decorative tapestries and visual references linked to post-Soviet culture, Jishkariani tears, transforms and reconstructs materials, incorporating embroidered phrases that oscillate between protest, irony and emotional tension.

Her works engage with kitsch, popular taste and forms often considered marginal or excessive, transforming them into a language of resistance, humour and vulnerability. Through this process, the exhibition reflects on memory, shame, control and the contradictions embedded in social and political realities.

Una hora más de luz forma parte de Eidôla, una investigación que entiende la luz como una materia activa del espacio. Las piezas funcionan como dispositivos ópticos que capturan, desvían y transforman la luz, cambiando según la hora del día, la intensidad exterior y la presencia de los visitantes.
Este sábado 11 de abril, a las 12 h, la exposición se activa fuera del espacio expositivo con un paseo colectivo. Las piezas se trasladan al exterior para experimentar su comportamiento bajo luz directa, en contacto con la calle, las superficies urbanas y una experiencia compartida.
La activación amplía la exposición hacia el espacio público y propone una forma de percibir el paisaje no como una imagen fija, sino como algo que se construye en el propio acto de ver.

One More Hour of Light is part of Eidôla, a research project that understands light as an active material of space. The works function as optical devices that capture, deflect, and transform light, changing according to the time of day, the intensity of exterior light, and the presence of visitors.
This Saturday, April 11 at 12 pm, the exhibition will be activated outside the exhibition space through a collective walk. The pieces will be taken outdoors to experience their behaviour under direct light, in contact with the street, urban surfaces, and a shared experience.
This activation expands the exhibition into public space and proposes a way of perceiving landscape not as a fixed image, but as something constructed in the very act of seeing.

¿Qué condiciona tus ficciones?
Es una vieja pregunta, anfitriona, en lectura, en Gaze Off a Espai Souvenir, este sábado a las 13.00
Se trata de una intervención, breve y puntual, que activará la indumentaria de egolactante, 2004, que está en la muestra.
Vestir es un antídoto contra la muerte, estar desnudo no es suicida.
Javier Peñafiel ha dado un giro a sus confedramas.
Estas acciones nuevas mantienen en vilo de la misma manera, pero comportan al tiempo como si fuera una mascota.
Presenta una relación, nada gesticulante, con los objetos que Javier alarma.
Dispositivos que le acompañan desde hace décadas y a los que sonríe sorprendido.
No se permite el uso de teléfonos móviles, la belleza es imposible en scroll.
Tiptoe Speed, el agente y percha, transporta la indumentaria y también es despatrimonial.

Ficción compartida, Gaze Off a Souvenir

Ficción compartida, una colaboración entre GAZE-OFF y Espai Souvenir, reúne un conjunto de obras, acciones y performances que operan desde desplazamientos, traducciones y gestos situados. La exposición no propone una narración única, sino un entramado de relaciones donde cada práctica introduce una forma distinta de producir sentido.  Las propuestas de Gaia Renis, Jean-Marie Reynier, Javier Peñafiel, Prisca Groh, Al Fadhil, Mirko Smerdel, Nuno Cera y Fabrizio Contarino parten de operaciones diversas —archivo personal, repetición manual, traducción del paisaje, intervención del lenguaje, acción performativa— pero comparten una atención común a aquello que suele quedar fuera de foco: huellas, recorridos, materiales ambiguos, imágenes que no se imponen sino que se dejan atravesar.

Shared Fiction, a collaboration between GAZE-OFF and Espai Souvenir, brings together a set of works, actions, and performances that operate through displacements, translations, and situated gestures. The exhibition does not propose a single narrative, but rather a network of relationships in which each practice introduces a distinct way of producing meaning.
The participating artists—Gaia Renis, Jean-Marie Reynier, Javier Peñafiel, Prisca Groh, Al Fadhil, Mirko Smerdel, Nuno Cera, and Fabrizio Contarino—work with archives, language, landscape, repetition, and performative action, focusing on what usually remains peripheral: traces, ambiguous materials, and images that invite traversal rather than attention.
The exhibition space remains in flux throughout the show, with works shifting, being activated, or reconfigured over time, making each visit a different experience. Extract from curatorial text

Shared fiction, a collaboration between GAZE‑OFF and Espai Souvenir, is a collective exhibition and an activation device. It brings together situations, gestures, actions, images, words and encounters through which reality is not presented as a given object, but as something that is produced at the intersection of bodies, time and space.

The proposals by Gaia Renis, Javier Peñafiel, Jean-Marie Reynier, Prisca Groh, Al Fadhil, Mirko Smerdel, Nuno Cera and Fabrizio Contarino unfold as interdependent fragments. Some remain, others appear intermittently; some are observed, others are listened to, crossed, or remembered. The exhibition is not limited to contemplation, but is constructed through a series of activations that continuously modify its form and rhythm.

The exhibition privileges a lateral gaze and displaced attention: not as a way of seeing better, but as a way of not fixing. Against the frontality of the screen and the expectation of a stable experience, Fiction Shared proposes a space where the visible coexists with the absent, the explicit with the suggested, the anticipated with what happens.

Here, the image appears as one presence among actions, voices and gestures. At times it settles, at others it dissolves or shifts, activating relationships that do not depend on the object, but on the connections generated between works, artists, visitors and space.

The result is not a unified narrative or a closed reading, but a shared fiction constructed in real time: a field of intensities in which each visitor articulates their own path, and where meaning emerges provisionally, at the intersection of multiple gazes, bodies and experiences.
