De la penumbra a la luz, una metamorfosis. ✨

Este blazer nació siendo un clásico azul marino de Harmont Blaine, pero el arte exige metamorfosis. Lo sumergí en un baño de pintura metálica mediante el ritual de ataduras Adore Oniko, atrapando la luz en cada pliegue.

Sobre su nueva piel, canalicé los símbolos del Bogolan, la antigua "tela de lodo" de Mali. En esa tradición, el tejido no solo viste el cuerpo: lo protege, absorbe las energías negativas y cuenta quién eres sin decir una sola palabra. Cada trazo es un talismán de sanación y enraizamiento.

Every pattern is an alchemy of time, patience, and touch. The garment undergoes a meditative transformation using three distinct, hand-applied rituals:

🔮 Adire Oniko: The ancient Yoruba art of resist-dyeing, where every tie is an intention.

⚡ Artistic Bleaching: The intentional extraction of color to create space for something new.

🎨 Expressive Paint Tie-Dye: A modern, intuitive flow of pigment and movement.

The intricate geometry is deeply inspired by Bogolan (Malian mud cloth) symbols—ancient visual codes that act as a language of protection, community, and the interconnectedness of all things. When you wear it, you are wrapping yourself in a lineage of storytelling.

Hacer, deshacer y dejar que la magia de lo inesperado suceda… ✨

Hoy les comparto el proceso de dos piezas muy especiales para .nyiansu (Instagram):

Un adelanto de mi último experimento textil. Al principio era un caftán largo, ¡pero decidí cambiar de rumbo a mitad de camino! Primero lo decoloré, luego lo estructuré con técnicas de anudado y plisado (Adire Oniko), y finalmente le di un doble baño de pintura metálica y negro petróleo. ¿El siguiente paso? Un buen enjuague para quitar el exceso de pintura y revelar el patrón final. 🧼💥

👗 El vestido que llevo puesto. Fue un regalo de una amiga en el que estuve experimentando. No salió para nada como lo había planeado, ¡pero me tiene completamente enamorada!

A veces, los "errores" del proceso crean las texturas más increíbles. ¿Qué les parece? 🐊
