"I dissolved watercolor paint in sea water, I transformed ocean's tears into joy."

The sea has always been my healer, my friend, my homeopathic balm able to dissolve the salt of the world’s tears, ancestral sadness, and whatever inner tempests I may carry from this lifetime or from lives I can only half-remember.

The wild roars of the waves crashing against the cliffs, or the soft murmur of shallow salty waters caressing the sand - all these sounds are grace from the same vast Ocean Goddess.

She gathers all the world's tears throughout centuries, and then she pours them back as the medicine of ecstatic joy. I love the sea, its motherly embrace, and its soothing music. I love cuddling the warm sand, and talking to the waves.

How can I bring all this love and pour it into my art, my painted talismans for the soul?

I am excited to share that my interview 'Painting as Transformation' — originally published in the beautiful print edition of .ART Odyssey's 'HEALING' issue — is now live online.

In this deep conversation, I open up about how painting becomes alchemy: a sacred 'dance with the Divine' that bridges the visible and invisible realms.

From channeling archetypal symbols and ancestral energies, to navigating grief after losing my mother in 2023, to creating vibrant, textured works that viewers describe as 'medicine for the soul' — art has been my path to sovereignty, trust in uncertainty, and heart-centered healing.

For me, it's a virtuous circle of enchantment and transformation… and I believe that it can play a similar role for anyone who engages with it.

Brave Soul is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas mounted on cardboard (40x40 cm / 16x16 inches), created in 2014.

I wanted to deliver a visual and conceptual contrast in this small format piece: its modest size juxtaposes strikingly with the grandeur of its title and message, symbolizing that our perceived "smallness" in the world has no bearing on the true mightiness of the soul and its boundless potential.

Maybe some of you can notice that this work radiates deep empowerment, at least this is how I felt when I was creating it. There's a courageous inner fire in it that defies limitations, awakens resilience, and affirms the soul's capacity for extraordinary achievement, transformation, and fearless self-expression.

Let it be a reminder that true strength emerges from within, often in the quietest, most unassuming spaces.

In dreams, images layer upon each other without beginning or end. The land of dreams is an exciting realm to visit every night where everything blends into millions of secret and whispers.

Every painting is an imprint of a deep and intimate story unfolding in my life - and every time, I feel how it is also quietly connected to stories happening simultaneously in others.

Every artwork contains a certain type of energy condensed into a talisman — representing the exact moment and season during which it emerged. Most of the time, I choose not to tell the stories behind my paintings.

I believe Mystery is the wisest teacher, and most of my creations are meant to remain in the realm of the unspoken — revealed only to those who are drawn to them on a deeply intuitive level, free from the filter of mental chatter and explanations. But sometimes my Muse becomes insistent, almost loud, and wants to be heard. In those moments, I lift the veil just enough to let the magic become a little more accessible.

My first painting of 2026 is here, and its name is Queen of the Night.

I began working on this painting around the winter solstice last December, during those quiet, slow days when the world seems to pause and hold its breath before exhaling into a brand-new year.

I let myself sink into the gentle nectar of midwinter and gave the painting the time it deserved, sowing its first seeds during what felt like a deep, protective hibernation.

Right after the winter solstice, the minutes of daylight slowly began to stretch. I continued my work a little more each day as those minutes of light gradually added up.

That same quiet journey lives inside this painting: a small seed planted in the dark womb of creation, patiently stirring and unfolding until it emerges into the bright awakening of a new year.

Queen of the Night was born from darkness, yet it reaches outward as a bridge toward the returning light—a celebration of emergence, renewal, and the tender strength that grows in the deepest silence.

Painting: Return to Power by Uslada

Language is the most potent act of creation we possess. With every word we speak, we weave the fabric of our own reality – often unconsciously, by repeating inherited patterns and obsolete words and thought-forms that anchor us to a fading past.

Or we can use it deliberately, choosing words that align with life, beauty, and possibility, thereby summoning an entirely different future into being.

Uslada is the word I offer the world as a seed for that future.

In Russian, *Услада* (Uslada) is an ancient, richly layered term that escapes simple translation. It carries within it pleasure, joy, delight, delectation – yet it is far more than hedonism. Uslada is the fierce, fiery love. It is also the sweetness of being wholly nurtured - tender love that arises when we know that we are held by the Universe. It is comfort laced with ecstasy, the lullaby of Mother Earth meeting the blaze of awakened desire.

Uslada is both the giver and the receiver of this plenitude, and the living archetype of pleasure itself.

Uslada is the necessary state for all human beings to truly evolve. It is only when we feel deeply nurtured, loved, and lullabied into our own sweetness that we can give the same energy of self-love and support back to the world. Self-love ceases to be a concept and becomes the quiet revolution that heals the world.

Uslada is the sensual embrace of the Universe, and the ever-lasting support of Mother Earth.

Uslada is the state of deep, unshakable inner contentment with ourselves as creations and as creators. It is reverent awe at the miracle of breath, of footsteps on this exquisite planet. and at the gift of every breath, and every step on this beautiful Planet. Uslada is enchantment with life, with love, and with our own authentic power.

My work is an invitation – and a declaration – to inhabit this frequency.

The world needs more Uslada.

Curioser and curioser …

And here we are, arriving softly at this magical moment in time - the Winter Solstice. From this day forward, the minutes of light will begin to lengthen, tipping the balance until day once again becomes longer than night.

For me, the Winter Solstice has always been a pivotal moment. To borrow from Alice, it is the time of year when I grow “curioser and curioser” about my mysterious inner worlds, about the slow unfolding of destiny, and about all the invisible magic that weaves through life.

This painting (Solstice, 60x60 cm) created about a decade ago, captures that very energy. Its four directions - the cardinal points honoured by shamans across centuries -evoke the mysteries of earth and cosmos. Beyond acrylic, I used a rarer, more complex vinylic paint that catches and reflects light in a powerful, almost luminous way.

As the end of 2025 unfolds, it brings me a quiet yet deeply disruptive and subtly unsettling creative energy. I’m immersed in a new painting—still unfinished—adding just a little each day, as though the magic in my brushes requires long hours of patient waiting before it’s ready for the next delicate, thin layer.

I’m not usually in a hurry to share my process - I prefer to keep this sacred gestation private. It feels like a mysterious alchemy, one that should remain hidden until the butterfly finally emerges from its cocoon - only fully revealed when the painting is complete. Yet here it is, a small glimpse into my creative process: I’m utterly enchanted by the buttery golden hue I’ve been lavishing onto the canvas.

At times it resembles cosmic honey, alive with shimmering light. The eternal dance between night and day, darkness and light, has drawn me into a gentle winter hibernation. I’m savoring the nectar of these delicate December moments as the new moon prepares to rise in just a couple of days. Winter solstice is almost there - ready to cast a little more light on my path into the new year.

Original music for this video is called Luna Serpentis, created by Yours Truly.
