This Spring, we are delighted to be publishing our newest limited edition book Blaue Blume. This rare book is intended to be an experience of beauty. Something that takes you on a journey away from dullness of everyday life. Featuring all of Úrsula Romero's paintings from her Blue Flower collection, this lay-flat bound, hard back comes presented in a velvet, embossed slipcase. Every book is numbered and signed by the artist.

In the footsteps of the 18th Century Romanticists, for the past eight years, .romero.art has travelled across the globe searching for the most beautiful blue flowers, exploring their natural habitats and studying their essence. It has been a journey not only of scientific value but also of artistic and spiritual discovery.

We are delighted to promote a new limited edition book by artist Kitty Shepherd.

Published to coincide with Kitty's sell-out exhibition at Messums Gallery in London in 2022, this book contains 112 full colour pages illustrated with all the images of Kitty Shepherd's slipware tiles from both her Worth of Mouth and Needle Drop panels. Each tile is accompanied by explanatory text, giving the origin of either a particular lipstick or a selected song title.

Printed on art quality 170gsm silk coated paper and placed in a protective card slipcase made from recycled sustainable material, this is more than just an exhibition catalogue and a must for any art book collector.

In the footsteps of the 18th Century Romanticists, for the past eight years, I (.romero.arte) have travelled across the globe searching for the most beautiful blue flowers, exploring their natural habitats and studying their essence. It has been a journey not only of scientific value but also of artistic and spiritual discovery. While seeking out and documenting these rare and exotic plants, I have, just like my previous Kickstarter project 'Leafscape', recorded the sounds of the countries I visited. I also photographed some stunning locations - maps of which I hope to include in the book.

If successful, this Kickstarter Project will help us to produce a beautifully laid-out book and ambient soundtrack that tells the 'Blue Flower' story; marking a further historical moment in the lifeline of botanical art and flower painting. The limited edition book will include all of my paintings along with the story. It will be lay-flat bound so that paintings aren't altered by the spine of the book. This desirable, rare, velvet covered book is intended to be an experience of beauty. Something that takes you on a journey away from dullness of everyday life.

This Kickstarter campaign gives you a unique opportunity to own a piece of my art and a real collector's piece by Inky Leaves Publishing. Our first project Leafscape sold out in days. It was not repeated. We prefer my books to be rare and sought after. So if you want a book, now is your chance.

The countdown to the official launch of our fundraiser on kickstarter is still ticking away... After 8 years since the start of her project Blaue Blume, .romero.arte (Jessica Shepherd) is ready to publish another delux, limited edition book with Inky Leaves Publishing.

We are, of course, super excited about this! Our Leafscape campaign was an unexpected success and the book sold out in the first few weeks. We are super hopeful that we can generate the funds to turn this project into another beautiful book. If the Kickstater campaign is successful, this layflat bound book will be presented in a velvet covered slipbox with foil embossing, along with the Blue Soundtrack.

As always, there will be different reward tiers on Kickstarter, from greetings cards to owning an original painting. We hope that you can support us.

Exciting news - the countdown has started for the Blue Flower book. It will be run as a Kickstarter project like Leafscape. Only 500 copies in the first deluxe edition, which comes with a velvet slip box. This project also comes with an ambient soundtrack made from the recordings I made while travelling and searching for the blue flowers. Keep an eye out on all my social media accounts for updates, or comment below and I will make sure you are the first to know when the fundraiser page goes live. Thank you for all of your support.

We are so excited to say, that after much delay, our final copy of INKQ - number 12 - has just gone to the printer! There are only 300 copies printed. If you want us to put a copy aside for you for £10, email us at [email protected].

For our last INKQ, we will be printing an A1 page of Jessica Shepherd's Nigella painting, which is in the Shirley Sherwood Collection of Botanical Art.
