Conference of parties, conference of polluters.
The number of delegates with links to fossil fuels at the 27th UN climate summit has jumped 25% from the last conference (source BBC): Apparently more than 600 people at COP27 are linked to fossil fuels. That's more than the combined delegations from the 10 most climate-impacted countries.

What about making it a conference of the people? What about bringing the most affected people in the centre of attention and their interests at the core of the discussions?
Spotlight on the people who are not heard. Spotlight on the people who are not at COP.

Spotlight on young changemakers fighting for their future! The stage is yours! 😊

The 17th UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY17) will bring thousands of young climate activists from more than 140 countries together. It takes place just before COP27 and serves as a space for capacity building and policy training, empower them, and formally bring their voices to the UNFCCC processes to shape the intergovernmental climate change policies.

While COY hosts social events and networking activities, interactive and immersive, to explore the different cultures of youth delegates as well as Skill-building Workshops such as pitching, fundraising, event management, youth mobilisation and public speaking, the most substantial output for COY17 will be the policy document, that will represent the voice of the youth in the UN Climate Negotiations (COP27).

Tic tac tic tac… is only ONE month away! ⏳

Time’s flying, time’s running. Time to make our voices heard in the run-up to this year’s climate conference! Only one month to go (minus one day, sorry for the delayed post! 😇) and still this major event seems to keep a low profile. Where is the media? Where is the coverage? We say: ALL EYES on COP27!

Bring the topic to the table, talk about COP with friends, colleagues, your kids, your parents, your students! And since sometimes an image says more than a thousand words, why not use to put COP27 under the spotlight! :D

How to host a creativity session? The recipe is easy and you can mix it up just as you like! Here you go:

👉 Explain to them the Spotlight project.
🍀 Initiate a climate dialogue: Your fears, hopes, your anger, your way of taking action…
🌸 Express yourselves through any form of art - and enjoy doing so! :)
🐣 Share your artwork in our gallery (if you want).

Being creative together is balm for the soul! Especially soul-nurturing in times of eco anxiety. 💚

PS: In case you need a two-liner up your sleeve to pitch the project: "Spotlight on COP27 is a citizen mobilisation that uses creativity to raise awareness on climate change. Everyone can participate and together or alone take the time to think and talk about climate change in the run-up to COP27, using art as a way of expression.

54 days until COP.
54 days until the 27th (!) UN Climate Change Conference is taking place.
54 days to talk to the people around you: Do they know COP is happening in less than two months? Do they grasp the urgency of the crisis we are facing?
54 days to imagine the world we want. 🌟
What would it look like to you? Put your imagination into words, into colours, movements, music or whatever else is the right way of expression for you. We would love to see/hear what you created - you can share it in our gallery. 😊

PS: This is another one of the beautiful collective works, created during the "Palourdes” Festival by the association Hameaux Légers with the artist Fasto Art in France this summer. These colours tell the story a happy, healthy future for all - don’t you think? 🥰

Sometimes we feel powerless, sometimes we feel too small to make a difference, submerged by another wave of bad news. In these moments, what we need is joy. And isn’t the best form of climate action the one you enjoy?

Joyful climate strikes, joyful gatherings with your climate-community, joyful gardening, joyful biking, joyful vegan dinner preparations…and of course, a joyful creativity-session to express yourself through art and to put the ! 😊

A project for everyone. For the young, the Oldies but Goldies and everyone in between! ☺️
You don’t need to be an artist to get creative! What better way to express yourself than by picking up a brush, a pencil, a camera or anything else that inspires you? 🎨💃📹

In today’s constant rush, a moment of creativity might be exactly what you need to take a breath and relax. Take the time - together or alone - to think about climate change, its causes and consequences and the many actions that we can take to tackle it. Inspiration will come, pinky promise!

You can do your “Spotlight”-artwork all by yourself or with friends, at your child’s birthday party, with your team, loved one or with your neighbour from the second floor. A beautiful way to raise awareness and to initiate a climate-talk!

In the face of the climate emergency, each COP is decisive for our .

This year’s COP starts in 65 days and the stakes are high! Taking place in an Egyptian seaside resort that is difficult to access, it is almost impossible though to participate in COP27 without taking a plane.

We have therefore cooked up a project that allows us all to express ourselves on the climate emergency in a creative way from right where we are. We use our creativity to say: All eyes on COP27! Noone can miss this key moment! 👀🗝
