‘Moving Through’ painting. We move through life in one of two ways, we’re walking away from what we don’t want, and walking towards what we do, but it’s never a straight line either way. And sometimes might feel like a loop, going around in circles doesn’t it? For everything we’ve run from, there’s something we wanted that drew us far enough into new territory that we got scared from. What was it?
When you notice you’re moving away from something, what was it you initially wanted to move towards?
And what will you do if they’re in the same direction? That simple question goes a long way, what was it that I wanted? You’re either moving towards it, or away.
Any thoughts on this?

“Life is like a game of chess. To win you have to make a move. Knowing which move to make comes with insight and knowledge, and by learning the lessons that are accumulated along the way. We become each and every piece within the game called life.” - Allan Rufus
‘A Story About Holding Hands’ was a painting I made that had many meanings to me: life is an adventure, who you choose to do it with, the direction you choose to go, and who you become all depend on your first move.
The bear symbolizes your inner self: as you used to speak to your toys, it was always you speaking to yourself. Comforting yourself: it’s also the same voice inside us that push us to take risks, move forward and take initiative in our life.. this video was filmed by who documented every move I made while creating this exhibition 🤜🏻♟🤛🏼

This is a close up of one of the hardest paintings I’ve ever worked on, also longest time I’ve spent working on one, and I still have a long way to go. Started accepting that my process isn’t as fast as others, 5 months and going 🤞🏻🙈 can’t wait to share the full picture,

Can’t wait to fully reveal this one! Been working on it for too long 🙈🤞🏻
