The Giza Governorate has announced alternating partial closures of the 6th of October Bridge in two phases to carry out maintenance work on the bridge’s transverse expansion joints.
The closures will affect the Cairo-to-Giza direction, specifically the section extending from above the Nile within Giza Governorate to the end of the 6th of October Bridge exit ramp towards Dokki Square.


Phase One
Friday, 21 August 2026, from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
