مؤسسة اليابان هي المؤسسة اليابانية الوحيدة المكرسة لإقامة برامج شاملة للتبادل الثقافي الدولي في جميع أنحاء العالم. مكتب مؤسسة اليابان بالقاهرة، الذي تأسس سنة 1995، هو الفرع الوحيد للمؤسسة في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا. (ماذا نفعل)

3. الدراسات اليابانية
نقيم الندوات وورش العمل والمؤتمرات لدعم الدراسات اليابانية في المنطقة.

4. المكتبة
لدينا مكتبة تحتوي على حوالي 6000 كتاب متعلق باليابان باللغات العربية والانجليزية واليابانية في مجالات متعددة كالأدب ودراسة اللغة اليابانية والمانجا (القصص المصورة اليابانية) وغيرها.

[WHO WE ARE]
The Japan Foundation is Japan's only institution dedicated to carrying out comprehensive international cultural exchange programs throughout the world. The Japan Foundation, Cairo, which was founded in 1995, is the only branch in the Middle East and Africa.

[WHAT WE DO]
1. Arts and Cultural Exchange
We organize events for promoting cultural exchanges between Japan and the MENA region such as music, fine arts / applied arts, literature, cinema, and so on.

2. Japanese Language Education
To support Japanese language education in Egypt and the MENA region, we organize JF Japanese Language Courses in Cairo and Alexandria, seminars and workshops, online symposia, the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, and so on.

3. Japanese Studies
To promote Japanese studies in the MENA region, we hold symposia, lectures, and so on.

4. Library
We have an open library contains around 6,000 Japanese related books in Arabic, English and Japanese such as literature, Japanese language learning, Manga (in English and Japanese), and so on. Opening Hours: 11 am-6 pm, Sunday to Wednesday (except for the Japan Foundation, Cairo’s official holidays)

نشكر الأستاذ الدكتور/ كرم خليل، أستاذ بقسم اللغة اليابانية وآدابها بكلية الآداب – جامعة القاهرة والمستشار الثقافي ومدير مكتب البعثة التعليمية الأسبق بسفارة جمهورية مصر العربية- طوكيو- اليابان، على إهدائه مؤسسة اليابان بالقاهرة كتاب جديد وهو “العلاقات الثقافية العلمية المصرية اليابانية"☺️

🔎نبذة عن الكتاب:
هذا الكتاب هو محاولة لتوثيق هذه التجربة، وربطها بسياق أوسع لتاريخ العلاقات الثقافية والعلمية بين مصر واليابان، مع تسليط الضوء على الإنجازات والدروس المستفادة، وكذلك الفرص التي يمكن أن تبني عليها جسور جديدة في المستقبل. أرجو أن يجد القارئ في هذه الصفحات رؤية واضحة لكيفية عمل الثقافة والعلم كأداة للتقارب بين الشعوب، وأن تكون مصدر إلهام لكل من يسعي لتعميق العلاقات المصرية اليابانية في أفق معرفي وثقافي أوسع.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Karam Khalil, professor in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and former cultural advisor and director of the Educational Mission Office at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Tokyo, Japan, for presenting the Japan Foundation, Cairo with a new book titled “Egyptian Japanese Cultural and Scientific Relations.”☺️

🔎About the Book:
This book is an attempt to document this experience and place it within the broader context of the history of cultural and scientific relations between Egypt and Japan, highlighting achievements and lessons learned, as well as opportunities that can serve as a foundation for building new bridges in the future. I hope that readers will find in these pages a clear vision of how culture and science function as tools for bringing peoples closer together, and that it will serve as a source of inspiration for all those who seek to deepen Egyptian Japanese relations within a broader intellectual and cultural horizon.

هل تساءلتَ يومًا كيف يستطيع ممثل الكابوكي أن يُعبِّر عن قوة الشخصية وعواطفها ومصيرها قبل أن ينطق بكلمة واحدة؟ لا يقتصر الأمر على التمثيل فحسب، بل يتم ذلك من خلال «كومادوري»، وهو المكياج الجريء الذي يحول الوجه البشري إلى عمل فني حي. 🎨

وهذه التصاميم ليست عشوائية. فكل خط ولون وشكل له معنى. فاللون الأحمر يمثل الشجاعة والقوة والعدالة. أما اللون الأزرق فيمكن أن يشير إلى الشر أو الغيرة أو الأشباح. وبمجرد نظرة واحدة، يعرف الجمهور بالفعل من هو البطل ومن الذي يجب أن يحذروا منه. لكن إليكم الجزء المذهل: لا يُرسم الكومادوري بحرية. فالممثلون يتبعون أنماطًا تم تنقيحها على مدى القرون. باستخدام الفرش والأصباغ الزاهية، يرسمون بعناية خطوطًا درامية تبرز عضلات الوجه وتعبيراته، مما يجعل كل عاطفة مرئية حتى للجمهور الجالس بعيدًا عن المسرح.

وعندما تنتهي العرض، يروي المكياج قصة أخيرة. غالبًا ما يضغط الممثلون بوجوههم المرسومة على قطعة قماش أو ورق، ليخلقوا بصمة مذهلة تُسمى «أوشيغوما». إنها سجل فريد من نوعه لذلك العرض، يلتقط طاقة اللحظة وعرقها وعواطفها.

Ever wonder how a kabuki actor can communicate a character's power, emotion, and destiny before saying a single word? It's not just through acting. It's through kumadori, the bold makeup that transforms a human face into a living work of art. 🎨

And these aren't random designs. Every line, color, and shape has a meaning. Red represents courage, strength, and justice. Blue can signal evil, jealousy, or ghostly spirits. With just a glance, the audience already knows who the hero is and who they should be wary of. But here's the amazing part: kumadori isn't painted freely. Actors follow patterns that have been refined over centuries. Using brushes and vivid pigments, they carefully draw dramatic lines that exaggerate facial muscles and expressions, making every emotion visible even to audiences sitting far from the stage.

And when the performance is over, the makeup tells one final story. Actors often press their painted faces onto cloth or paper, creating a striking imprint called an oshiguma. It's a one-of-a-kind record of that performance, capturing the energy, sweat, and emotion of the moment.

ياتري اتفرجتوا على «الكابوكي»، المسرح الياباني التقليدي، على منصتنا JFF Theater ولا لسه؟👀✨

هل تعلم أن ممثل مسرح الكابوكي لا يكتمل تحوّله إلى شخصيته إلا بعد أن يضع الباروكة؟ فليس الماكياج وحدها من تصنع السحر، بل الشعر هو ما يمنح الدور روحه. وهذه ليست باروكات عادية؛ فهناك أكثر من ألف نوع مختلف للأدوار الرجالية وحدها، وكل باروكة تُصمم خصيصًا لتعكس عمر الشخصية ومكانتها الاجتماعية وطباعها.🧐

تُصنع كل باروكة يدويًا من شعر بشري حقيقي، تُغرز خصلاته واحدة تلو الأخرى على قاعدة تُشكَّل بدقة لتناسب رأس الممثل. وقد يستغرق صنع الباروكة الواحدة من بضع ساعات فقط، وقد يمتد العمل عليها إلى شهر كامل. أما أكثر ما يثير الدهشة فهو وزنها؛ إذ قد تصل بعض الباروكات من 4 كيلوجراماً إلى نحو 11 كيلوجرامًا وكأن الممثل يؤدّي رقصاته وعلى رأسه طفل صغير! ولذا تُثبت الباروكات على قواعد معدنية مخصصة، لتظل ثابتة في مكانها مهما اشتدت الحركة.

🎥 "Neko Ninja": كوميديا/95 دقيقة/2017
كاغيروتا، نينجا مارق، هو رجل مطلوب للعدالة، حيث يعتقد أفراد عشيرته أنه يعرف مكان المخطوطات التي تتحدث عن المهارات الأسطورية للمحاربين القادرين على تغيير مظهرهم للفوز في المعارك. يحمل كاجيروتا في حقيبته «الأب»، وهو قط ذو وزن زائد وشعر ذهبي وأنف أحمر. يعتقد كاجيروتا أن هذا القط هو التجسيد القططي لوالده النينجا الأسطوري كوزي كينزان الذي اختفى منذ زمن طويل، وذلك بسبب أنفه الأحمر الذي يشبه أنف كينزان. في الوقت نفسه، ترسل عشيرة كيريو، التي تتوق إلى استعادة المخطوطة، نينجتين للقبض على كاجيروتا: موميجي التي تحاول الاقتراب منه متخفية في دور عاملة نظافة في النزل الذي يقيم فيه؛ وتسابامي، صديقة كاجيروتا منذ الطفولة، التي صعدت منذ ذلك الحين لتصبح واحدة من أفضل النينجا في العشيرة. يقاتل كاجيروتا من أجل إعادة «الأب» إلى شكله البشري والهروب من النينجا الأشرار.

فازت كايوكو، الكاتبة الواعدة الجديدة، بجائزة، لكن أحلامها في الظهور لأول مرة تبددت بسبب النقد القاسي الذي وجهه إليها الكاتب المرموق هيغاشيجوجو مونينوري، مما جعلها غير قادرة على إيجاد منصة لعرض أعمالها. عاقدة العزم على الانتقام، تحجز كايوكو غرفة في وجهة أحلامها، فندق هيل توب، لتكتشف أن هيغاشيجوجو يقيم في الغرفة التي تعلو غرفتها مباشرة! بمساعدة مرشدها الجامعي ومحررها إندو، تعرقل كايوكو عملية كتابة هيغاشيجوجو وتخرب موعد تسليم مجلته الأدبية. لكن هذه ليست سوى بداية لمزيد من المحن والتجارب التي ستواجهها كايوكو. مع تدرج المواجهة الملحمية بين كايوكو وهيغاشيجوجو، تأخذ الأحداث منعطفات غير متوقعة لم يستطع أحد التنبؤ بها. هل ستعود كايوكو منتصرة إلى الساحة الأدبية وتشق طريقها ككاتبة مشهورة؟

🎥“Neko Ninja”: Comedy/95 min/2017
Kagerota, a rogue ninja, is a wanted man as his clansman believes that he knows whereabouts of the scrolls which tells the mythical skills of warriors changing appearances to win battles. Kagerota is taking “Father,” an overweight, golden-haired and red-nosed cat in his bag. Kagerota believes the cat is the feline form of his long-disappeared and legendary ninja father Kuze Kenzan because of the same red nose as Kenzan’s. Meanwhile, the Kiryu Clan, who is anxious to bring the scroll back, dispatches two female ninjas to nab Kagerota: Momiji who tries to get close to the man through her cover as a cleaner at the inn where he is staying; and Tsubame, Kagerota’s childhood friend, who has since risen to become one of the clan’s best ninjas. Kagerota fights for making “Father” back to his human appearance and geting away from the thug ninjas

تورا سان (أتسومي كيوشي) هو بائع متجول يعود إلى منزله بعد عشرين عامًا، ليجد شقيقته الصغرى ساكورا (بايشو تشيكو) قد أصبحت محط أنظار الجميع. لكن الاستقبال الحار يتحول سريعًا إلى توتر عندما يفسد فرص زواج ساكورا من عائلة ثرية، ثم يتسبب بالفوضى حين تبدأ بمواعدة صاحب مطبعة محلي يُدعى هيروشي وتعكس هذه الأحداث حياة تورا سان العاطفية، إذ يلتقي بصديقة طفولته فويكو ليكتشف أن الحظ ليس في صفه. وفي النهاية، لا يجد أمامه سوى أن ينطلق في الطريق من جديد.

About “Tora-San, Our Lovable Tramp” 91 minutes (1969)
Tora-san (ATSUMI Kiyoshi) is a traveling salesman who returns home after twenty years and finds his kid-sister Sakura (BAISHO Chieko) is now turning heads. His warm reception soon turns sour when he spoils Sakura’s chances of marriage to a wealthy family and then causes havoc when she starts courting a local printer, Hiroshi. It’s all mirrors Tora-san’s own love life, bumping into childhood friend Fuyuko only to discover the odds are stacked against him. All he can do is hit the road once again.
