النسخة الثامنة – Breaking Walls Festival

ندعو فناني الرقص المصريين للتقديم والمشاركة في فعاليات النسخة الثامنة.

الشروط:
* مدة العرض لا تتجاوز ٤٠ دقيقة
* يُفضل تقديم عروض صولو أو دويت (نظرًا لمحدودية الميزانية)
* العروض المختارة سيتم تقديمها مرة أو مرتين في مواقع مختلفة ضمن برنامج المهرجان
* المشاركة مدفوعة الأجر
* توفر إدارة المهرجان دعمًا تقنيًا أساسيًا (إضاءة وصوت)
* ستُقام العروض في مساحات Site-Specific

* آخر موعد للتقديم: السبت ١٦ مارس ٢٠٢٦
* موعد إقامة المهرجان: أول ١٠ أيام من شهر أبريل ٢٠٢٦

Open Call for Egyptian Dance Performances
8th Edition – Breaking Walls Festival

The festival invites Egyptian dance artists to apply for
participation in its 8th edition.

Guidelines:
* Performance duration must not exceed 40 minutes
* Solo or duet performances are preferred (due to budget limitations)
* Selected works will be presented once or twice at different venues within the festival program
* Participation is paid
* The festival provides basic technical support (lighting & sound)
* Performances will take place in site-specific venues

Important Dates:
* Application Deadline: Saturday, March 16, 2026
* Festival Dates: First 10 days of April 2026

Community Arts Network & Breaking Walls Festival

Breaking Walls is a festival of innovative site-specific performances, dance and theatre workshops and dance films developed in collaborations between American and Egyptian artists in Cairo. International and Egyptian resident artists work with local performers to develop site-specific performances in locations that go beyond the conventional, bringing people and the city into interaction with each other. The festival builds equitable, sustainable relationships between International and Egyptian dance communities through shared cultural production. It provides professional development opportunities to the Egyptian contemporary dance community. It expands the cultural radar of audiences in Cairo and other Egyptian cities with unconventional performance experiences in contemporary dance, dance films, participatory theatre, and experimental music.
