Weaam El Masry is an Egyptian Cairo-Dubai-based, multi-award-winning visual artist, curator, and co-founder of Easel and Camera Contemporary Art Gallery. She holds a Ph.D. in Media Art from Helwan University and works across painting, photography, animation, and installation.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the 59th Venice Biennale, Beirut Art Fair, Florence Biennale, and The Norval Foundation in South Africa. She has received over 25 international awards and scholarships, and her works are held in notable public and private collections worldwide.

Hanafy Mahmoud is an Egyptian contemporary painter born in 1970 in Al-Wady Al-Gadid, Egypt, and lives and works in Cairo. He studied Art Education and has taught at Helwan University’s Faculty of Art Education since 2002.

His work focuses strongly on the human condition, psychological states, silence, and social/political/economic pressures. His paintings often feature life-size human figures or groups, sometimes n**e, against dream-like backgrounds.

Maged Mekhail was born in 1982 in Sohag, Egypt, Maged Mekhail holds a bachelor of Fine Arts from Helwan University where he specialized in Sculpture in 2004. He then refined his practice during his studies under renowned Egyptian artist and mentor Adam Henin from 2005 to 2010. This apprenticeship has influenced Maged’s practice and style paving the way for his work to develop and rapidly grow. Mekhail’s work has been shown in solo exhibitions in Egypt at Karim Francis Gallery in 2020, 2021 & 2023.
He has also participated in major exhibitions in Cairo with Art D’Egypt, The General Exhibition with The Ministry of Culture, and The Youth Salon. His sculptures were also celebrated amongst the Aswan Symposium in 2005, 2015, & 2024 as well as The Bahrain Symposium in 2018. Mekhail’s sculptures are part of the collection of The Egyptian Museum of Modern Art, Open Museum of Aswan, and El Bahrain Museum.
In 2011 Mekhail won the First Sculpture Prize from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture for his sculpture Misr el Ghaliya”
“Beloved Egypt” - a grand testament of his achievement at a very young age.
