It is a wonderful mix of young energy and experience, learning from each other and making music side by side. The ensemble was founded in 2024 by principal conductor Xandi van Dijk. The Sinfonietta will have its inaugural concert at the Viimsi Artium on October 6th, 2024, with star violinist Triin Ruubel as soloist. The Viimsi Sinfonietta is based at the Viimsi Artium, a beautiful new auditorium which opened its doors in 2022. The Artium creates a strong connection with the unique location and the landscape. The building is like a bridge - quite literally a bridge from the suburbian strip into the primeval forest, but it also indirectly bridges wild landscape with contemporary culture and with experience of them both.
