From November 20 to 24, our alumni Iris Kessler '24 and Alan Heidmets '19 joined the Workshop Stage of the Sustainability Program 🌎, hosted in Bratislava and Vienna. The four-day program offered in-depth insights into sustainability, led by alumni mentors with expertise in the field. Highlights included a visit to the United Nations Office in Vienna and engaging lectures by representatives from the UN Environment Program, OSCE, and WWF. In the upcoming stages, participants will use what they’ve learned to create impactful sustainability 🌱 projects.

Iris shared: "It always blows me away by how well FLEX can organize workshops like this. During those 4 days, I learned so much about sustainability from our amazing mentors and got some good ideas for future projects! I also got to see a lot of new places and connect with so many new and amazing people!" 🌟

Alan added that: "Placement and program was incredible, program was full of workshops from different experts in their spheres, which was an awesome experience. I really liked our day trip to Austrian to UN, and I think that project was well organized, and had a great example of well known problem that everybody keeps forgetting about."
