Something special was in the air last night—we left the concert feeling inspired, united, and full of purpose. A huge thank you to Light in Babylon for their incredible performance and to everyone who came together to make it such a memorable evening.

Tallinn Colors and our designer Gert Rasmus Rannamets have been nominated for "Event Design of The Year" at Estonian Music Industry awards!

Tallinn Colors kicks off its 2025 season with a timeless spirit: Light In Babylon, on the 6th of March in Paavli Kultuurivabrik! 🪽

A journey through language, history and cultures woven together by the universality of music, Light in Babylon is truly more than just a band. Getting its start from Istanbul, this multinational ensemble blends traditional Middle Eastern melodies with modern folk influences, creating a refreshingly contemporary sound that is at the same time deeply rooted.

At the heart of the band is Michal Elia Kamal, whose mesmerizing voice brings an unmatched depth of emotion and storytelling to the music. Accompanied both by the enchanting tones of Metehan Çifçi’s santur and the rhythmic pulse of Julien Demarque’s guitar, Light in Babylon is affective and inspirational in all the right ways.

Their songs, sung in a multiplicity of languages, explore themes of love, longing and belonging, resonating with a global audience from Istanbul to Paris, from Mumbai to Berlin.
