“The Star”
I know that February and are over, but Is till want to challenge myself to make collages based on the prompt words.

So this one is based on the word “star” and it was the prompt for February 5.

Today’s prompt is: TOILET PAPER. Who could have imagined, huh… 😅

So, this collage has a backstory — and honestly, it still feels unbelievable to me. It’s also a small reminder of how sharp the Universe’s sense of humor can be.

The prompt “toilet paper” felt impossible. I had no magazine images of toilets, no toilet paper, nothing even remotely related. And let’s be honest — to me it’s not exactly the most inspiring word. Still, I’ve probably never thought about a paper roll as intensely as I did over the last day and a half.

I decided not to show toilet paper at all, but the moment of needing it. That very human situation where you realize there’s nothing to use — except maybe one sad little leaf, if you happen to be in the nature. And in that moment, you really wish you had a roll.

Before starting to put together my collage, I took my dog for a walk. She stopped to sniff something, I glanced over… and there it was. A roll of toilet paper lying by the sidewalk!! One dirty shoe print on it, but otherwise perfectly intact.
You really can’t make this stuff up. 😄

Of course, I took a photo — otherwise I’d think I imagined it. And yes, I decided to use it in my collage. The Universe literally gave me what I needed, although a magazine cutout would have been more than fine 🙄, too.

Someone might ask why I didn’t just photograph the toilet paper I have at home.
All I can say is: the Universe has its way of doing things. And so do I.

It’s February 15th and today’s prompt is DAFFODIL.

I used the same theme as in my other collage, Extraterrestrial Flower Pickers, with the idea that this could one day grow into a series — recurring visitors, changing flowers, shifting landscapes ☺️.

My boyfriend asked, “Are the aliens bringing the flowers… or taking them?”
I told him it’s up to the viewer.
So what do you think — are they planting flowers into the sea, or stealing them away?

My lovely crow of thoughts.

I discovered a new way to keep a journal today. I drew something that has been on my mind for a long time (obviously a crow) and wrote down my thoughts in a language I don’t even understand myself. Just some random scribble.
I have always liked mystery, so writing in scribble is actually nothing new in my case, and writing in a language that no one can understand seems too intriguing not to do 😄. It was fun and I will do it again.
Once out of my head and onto paper, but never to be read again.
