The "European Animation Awards" would like to reward the animation industry by being the main event

The "European Animation Awards" would like to reward the animation industry by being the main event throughout 40 countries. The first ceremony will be held in 2017 to ward the skills of European professionals. The awards will be voted by the EAA members, representing a large vision of European professionals. It aims to be considered as the highest animation film honour in Europe, similar to the famous Annie Awards in the US, which deeply inspired it. Each year through forums and festivals, European artistic talents, authors, directors, producers and distributors have many opportunities to meet each other but there is no specific "family" celebration, one that would bring together all professionals that contribute to the excellence of European animation skills and expertise.

European Animation Awards is going to Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy! Please join us for an introduction of 2026 edition of Emile Awards which is held on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 in Małopolska Garden of Arts/Małopolski Ogród Sztuki. Krakow, Poland, hosted by the 33rd International Film Festival ETIUDA&ANIMA.

Przyznawane przez European Animation Awards Association, nagrody wyróżniają najlepsze europejskie filmy animowane oraz twórców i twórczynie stojących za ich powstaniem. Nagradzane są krótko i pełnometrażowe produkcje i osiągnięcia artystyczne w takich dziedzinach jak animacja, scenariusz czy muzyka.

Co roku gala odbywa się w innym mieście Europy. W tym roku centrum europejskiej animacji na jeden wieczór stanie się Kraków! 🎬✨
