We look at what gives us a feeling of "uncanniness"; when things seems as usual, but there is something rotten, a disturbance in our perception. Do you sometimes feel that everything is so nice and so wrong at the same time? Follow us here, we share things we find uncanny and we also share experiments we are doing for the project. We see “uncanniness” as a counterweight to traditional values, such
as lightness, visibility, the known - we are curious to explore disturbance in our perception: grotesque and dark situations, spaces and characters while studying survival strategies of insects, military parades of different countries, bu****it speaking of weather or politics and closed territories in embassies. Uncanny You is co-produced by Kanuti Gildi SAAL in Tallinn, Estonia where it premieres in September 2017 and is supported by Teater Momentum in Odense, Denmark, TOU Scene in Stavanger, Norway and Arts Letters and Numbers in New York, USA.
