Apply now for Unreal Engine Storytelling and Cinematic Creation!

This intensive 10-week online residency is a new international training programme designed to explore the creative possibilities of Unreal Engine across film, animation, virtual production, and immersive media.

📆 Applications are open until 10 July 2026.

Through hands-on workshops, expert mentorship, and collaborative learning, participants will gain practical experience with Unreal Engine’s cinematic tools while developing new approaches to visual storytelling.

The course is carried out by Dejan Ilić, an art director, multimedia artist, and Unreal Engine Authorized Instructor.

Missioon: tagada igale Eesti lapsele ja noorele võrdne ligipääs filmikultuurile ja -haridusele.

2026. aastal käivitas Just Film haridusfondi, mille eesmärk on toetada laste kinokülastusi ajal, mil õppekäigud on muutunud kallinevate hindade ning keerulise olude tõttu osale õpilastest kättesaamatuks.

Eligible applicants include directors and producers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Italy who have completed at least one short film and are currently developing new fiction, animation, or hybrid projects intended for international audiences, with a duration of up to 30 minutes.

Projects must be in the early stages of development. The application deadline is the 21st of June.

Tallinn Summer School is looking for applications!

The intensive 3-week Short Film Summer School (13–31 July 2026) takes you through the full filmmaking journey - from developing your idea and writing a script to shooting on set and editing your final film. Guided by experienced industry professionals, you’ll work in creative teams using professional studios and equipment at the renowned BFM Baltic Film, Media and Arts School.

By the end of the course, you’ll have contributed to a completed short film and premiered it on the big screen at BFM’s cinema — a truly unique portfolio experience.

Open to participants from all backgrounds, this course is perfect for aspiring filmmakers, creatives, and anyone eager to bring stories to life in a dynamic, international setting.

Avasta filmikunst rahvusvahelises ja praktilises õpikeskkonnas Tallinna Ülikooli lühifilmi suvekoolis!

3-nädalane kursus (13.–31. juuli 2026) viib sind läbi kogu filmiloome protsessi - ideest ja stsenaariumi kirjutamisest kuni võtteplatsil töötamise ja filmi monteerimiseni. Sind juhendavad kogenud valdkonna professionaalid ning töötad loovtiimides, kasutades Balti filmi, meedia ja kunstide instituudi tipptasemel stuudioid ja tehnikat.

Kursuse lõpuks oled panustanud valminud lühifilmi ning esitled seda suurel ekraanil BFMi kinos – väärtuslik kogemus sinu portfooliosse.

A total of 7 films will compete for the prestigious Méliès d’Argent at the 21st Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.

Méliès International Festivals Federation - MIFF

The winner of the Haapsalu competition will move on to the grand finale to compete for the Méliès d’Or, the highest honor in European fantastic cinema.
