Thanks so much for all your contributions to our Land Art / Trash Art Open Call! Here are the results: a chain of 16 individual pieces of work, loosely based on the theme of 'circle.'

Participants were asked to take inspiration from what could be found outdoors in the vicinity of their homes during this summer, and to make something spontaneous in the space of a few hours or a day.

It has been a delight to see what was found and what has been created outdoors this summer. We hope you enjoyed finding inspiration in your surroundings 🌿😊

Thanks for your Land and Trash Art submissions, it looks like you had fun out there!
We can't wait to share the work so we will compile them and post shortly!

In the meantime, here are some treats from the woods for your efforts: blaeberries, bramble blossom and tangy wood sorrel

Thanks to those of you who have made your trashy / arty / earthy creations and sent them our way! There have been some delights that we are eager to share.. but not quite yet!

We decided to extend the project until Sunday the 12th July, to give those of you who'd still like to make something, another opportunity to do so.

This is because we know it's been a busy few weeks adapting to changing Covid-related restrictions, midsummer celebrations, socially-distanced bbqs, selecting your favourite mask to wear...etc.

But we're still looking for spontaneous submissions that are made in just one day or less, on the theme of Circles, and using the land and trash you find around you. So if you feel inspired, you still have some time to take part!

In the meantime, here's a fragment of inspiring Californian land art from our Kompost Kolleeg Sophia Bazalgette !

Lots of fun, being a bit messy and a bit silly, thinking of natural techniques and re-using rather than buying, at the EKA Christmas Market 2019!

Homme oleme me EKA jõuluturul interaktiivse kioskiga ning laseme uuesti ringlusesse meie vanad animatsioonipaberid! Tule ja tee endale jõuludeks taaskasutatud materjalidest pakkepaber, kasutades kartulitempleid ja meie omatehtud söödavaid tinte!

Tomorrow we are going to be at the EKA Christmas Market with an interactive kiosk recycling our old animation papers! Come and make your own recycled Christmas paper with potato stamps and our homemade edible inks!

THE COLLECTIVE

We are a multi-national group of creative people who want a closer connection to our natural environment and promote a more sustainable lifestyle while carrying out artistic practices. Our group covers nationalities from several European, Asian and North and South American countries.

We mostly all met while animating each other, our film characters and the city of Tallinn in Estonia.

We currently collaborate without a base and do projects in a variety of locations. In the near future we aspire to set up a physical space: a meeting point and a crossroads of interaction where we can work together, learn from one another, and invite people from all walks of life to collaborate with us, providing access to explore nature and creativity to those who may not otherwise have it.
