Inspired by NUBLU's ode to the tiny islet, our team traded the mainland for Kesselaid this year for our summer days retreat — and closed out the season by truly unplugging. Phones away, feet in the sand, nothing but nature and good company for the last weekend of summer.
We spent our days roaming the islet, diving into some spirited games, and winding down in the sauna (as any good Estonian retreat demands). 🔥
A perfect send-off to summer — already looking forward to what's next!

⭐Meet Monika Normann, our new Procurement Specialist! We're delighted to welcome her to the our team, and we sat down with her to find out a bit more about who she is, where she's coming from, and what she's looking forward to.

🐕Monika describes herself as a dog person, a foodie in her own small way, a big music lover, and someone who loves art and culture. She brings a wealth of relevant experience to her new role: she previously worked as a public sector procurement officer, and before that spent years in the private sector within road construction, first as a design engineer and later as a project manager.

✏️ Happy new school year, Estonia!

President Alar Karis opened the year at the newly formed Tallinn College of Technology — created by merging several of Tallinn's vocational schools, with the aim of helping Estonia's economy run at full strength. We're proud to have made the sign for their building, and it feels great to see it greeting students on their very first day.

Wishing every student the courage to learn, the drive to push through the hard parts, and pride in the trade they're building. Head uut õppeaastat!

🎉We're proud to share that Motor has been selected to produce the exhibition for the International Memorial Museum for the Victims of Communism in Patarei Prison (Eesti Mälu Instituut / Estonian Institute of Historical Memory).

Patarei is one of Estonia's most significant historical sites — a place that carries the weight of decades of occupation and the suffering of those who lived through it.

Turning it into a museum ensures that this history is preserved and passed on to future generations, so that it is never forgotten.

The museum is set to open on 14 June 2027. We're honored to help bring this important project to life for Estonia.

🔥🎂 Celebrating 26 years — the wild way!

A few weeks ago, our team traded the office for the forest to celebrate our 26th birthday — with a survival hike and workshop led by the amazing team at Luureretked.

We swapped spreadsheets for firewood, learning how to make fire from scratch and pick up practical survival skills for the forest. It turns out teamwork looks a little different when you're trying to get a spark going together!

Of course, no birthday is complete without cake — so we wrapped up the day with a well-earned slice (or two) back at camp. 🍰
26 years of building museum experiences, and still up for a good adventure. Here's to the next chapter!

Thank you Velvet for the kind words and thoughtful insights on experiential learning! Your perspective as a design leaders in strategic and service design means a lot to us. 👏 It would be lovely to have the opportunity to join forces on a project in the future.

Mõnus üllatus Swedbank Eestis noortele mõeldud rahatarkuse keskuses oli selle äge vorm.

Läksime kohale mõttega, et ees ootavad mõned interaktiivsed ekraanid ja väike ringkäik. Tegelikkuses sattusime keskkonda, kus tuli liikuda, otsustada, katsetada ja koostööd teha. Pigem Rakett 69 kui klassikaline näitus.

Ja see kinnitas lihtsat tõsiasja: keerulisi teemasid on parem õppda nii, kui neid saab kogeda.

Liitintress, laenud või toote elukaar ei ole just teemad, mis kõiki noori iseenesest käivitaksid. Aga kui teadmised muuta füüsiliseks kogemuseks, muutub õppimine märgatavalt kaasahaaravamaks.

Kogesime seda ka ise. Pärast läbimist olid nii sammulugejad kui ka ajud korralikult tööd teinud.

Hea näide sellest, kuidas läbimõeldud kogemus aitab keerulise sisu muuta arusaadavaks ja meeldejäävaks.

🌦️ We are delighted that we were able to help bring to life the new permanent exhibition at the Harku Weather Centre — an engaging experience that opens up the fascinating world of weather, climate and meteorology to visitors.

🌬️ The exhibition invites visitors to discover the many faces of Estonian weather: to feel the strength of the wind, compose their own weather forecast, explore dangerous weather phenomena and learn how weather is measured and forecast. Visitors can also try their hand at being a meteorologist and experience how science, technology and everyday weather influence our lives.

The permanent exhibition has been created as an expedition of discovery,
combining knowledge, playfulness and interactive solutions. It helps visitors understand both the processes that shape weather and the impact of climate change around us.

🏆 The exhibition "Meie Tartu" at Tartu linnamuuseum / Tartu City Museum has received the European Museum Forum Museum of the Year Awards (EMYA) Jury Special Commendation for Community Participation.

The jury recognised the exhibition for its inclusive and dynamic concept, where visitors and local communities actively contribute to keeping the exhibition alive and reflective of the city's evolving story. It is a remarkable example of shared authorship and community-driven museum practice.

At Motor, we are proud to have been the production partner for this exhibition and to have helped transform this vision into a physical experience. Seeing the project recognised on the European stage is a testament to what can be achieved through strong collaboration, innovative ideas, and quality craftsmanship.

A fantastic achievement for Tartu City Museum and everyone involved in creating "Meie Tartu." We are proud to have played a part in this inspiring project.

We are proud to share that the German Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by facts and fiction and produced together with YES WE CAN has officially begun its second life.

As a modular and circular exhibition structure, the pavilion was designed from the very beginning with reuse and adaptability in mind. Instead of being a one-time installation, it now continues its journey across Germany for the next two years — bringing the Expo experience to new audiences and cities.

📍 Until the end of May, the pavilion is on display in Berlin
📍 In June, it will move to Stuttgart
📍 In July, it will be presented in Munich

We are very happy to see this forward-thinking project continue its life beyond Osaka. The pavilion is not only an exhibition space, but a flexible system designed for transformation — and it is inspiring to see it now travelling and evolving across Germany.

A big thank you to all partners involved in making this possible. This is exactly what we hoped for: a pavilion that does not end with the Expo, but keeps telling its story in new places.

Our COO /Head of Sales and Marketing, Liis Lehesalu, recently returned from the inspiring IMCC InFocus Basque Country gathering — and came back full of ideas, conversations, and unforgettable experiences from Bilbao and San Sebastián.

Among the highlights were visits to the enchanting Chillida Leku and the innovative GOe – Gastronomy Open Ecosystem at Basque Culinary Center, both leaving a lasting impression with their unique approach to culture, creativity, and storytelling.

Beyond the program itself, the atmosphere of the Basque Country — the hospitality, cuisine, coastal scenery, and even the ever-changing weather — made the experience truly memorable.

A huge thank you to Brian J. Mandrier, DES and his entire team for all the preparation and organization. A deep bow as well to congress host Javier Martínez Martínez from Proasur. And thanks to the entire IMCC community, because without you there would be no IMCC events.

We are proud that MOTOR could be part of it. Next stop: Munich this October. See you there.
