Since 1995, Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery opens its doors in Santo Domingo and focuses its efforts in supporting the new artistic tendencies of the Dominican Republic, Latin America and the Caribbean. For the 2006-2010 period, it establishes itself at Wynwood Art District, Miami. During nearly two decades, being Santo Domingo its main platform, and faithful to its aesthetic proposal supporting the new,
strange and extravagant, it has organised a series of exhibitions in galleries and museums in the great capitals of the world, while also taking part in several prestigious international art fairs like, ARCO 1997, Madrid, where the gallery was invited and its participation was curated by Octavio Zayas. It has also been part of ArteBa, Buenos Aires, Zona MACO, Mexico, CONTEXT Art Miami during Art Basel, and has been invited twice to VOLTA NY , feat. Gerard Ellis, during the Armory Show, as well as PULSE Miami, SCOPE Miami/New York, MiART, Milan, KIAF, Korea, where it was invited to the Latin American Pavillion, and PINTA London, among others. In 2002, Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery in conjunction with the MOLAA (Long Beach, CA) organized and curated “Human Conditions” by García Cordero and in 2010, organized and co-curated “Global Caribbean II: Caribbean Trilogy, Focus on the Greater Antilles” featuring works by García Cordero, José Bedia and Edouard Duval-Carrié, which was part of Art Basel’s Public Program Special Event. In 2010, 2011 and 2013, Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery was awarded by the Association of Art Critics in the category “Best Exhibition”. The gallery has participated in:
