In the picture Saint Elias Range and a little glimpse of Hubbard Glacier. Hubbard is located in Wrangell–St. Elias National Park and Preserve in eastern Alaska and Kluane National Park and Reserve in Yukon, Canada. It is famous for being North America's largest tidewater glacier: over 76 miles long, 7 miles wide and 600 feet tall at its terminal face (350 feet exposed above the waterline and 250 feet below the waterline). This colosal masterpiece is increasing in total mass, defying the global paradigm of glacier shrinkage and retreat in response to global climate warming.

🏔Denali National Park, no place for the faint-hearted.

👉🏻Denali sits at the top of the world, just 200 miles from the arctic circle. It encompasses over six million acres of stunning alaskan wilderness culminating in snowy mountains with hundreds of glaciers (14 of them longer than the island of Manhattan). A place so wild only the hardest creatures endure, so hostile no one can survive its upper limits.

🙌🏻The crown jewel of this wilderness, ONE GIANT MOUNTAIN, the highest point in North America: Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley), which means “The High One” in native alaskan languages. With a peak that reaches 20,310 feet above sea level, Denali is the third-highest of the Seven Summits (the tallest peaks on all seven continents). Interestingly, measured from base to summit, Denali rises over a mile taller than Everest.

🏙 My first time in from a slight change of plans.
•
🔀 They say “always have a plan, but be prepared to change it at any given moment”, well on the trip touring the lighthouses of Lake Michigan, weather got severe so I had to take a detour and a five hour drive took me to Indianapolis. Thank you bad weather, because I had no idea Indianapolis was this beautiful 🤩, so walkable and friendly. Even though I had only 12 hours to spare and photograph, the more I explored, the more I loved. My top: White River State Park, Canal Walk, Soldiers & Sailors Monument (Monument Circle), the Indiana State Capitol, Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

📸 Breathtakingly gorgeous Peyto Lake, Banff National Park 🇨🇦

🏊‍♂️ In the past I have written on the origin of its amazing turquoise blue color, and many commented their desire to jump and swim in it. To begin with, you don't go to the lake, you go to a viewpoint from where you can see the lake. Going down to the lake is possible, but hardly anyone does it. Regarding swimming in it… well, technically it is allowed to swim in any lake of the Canadian Rockies, but this one in particular will be a very cold and uncomfortable experience since Peyto’s water never rises above 5C even in the peak of summer 🥶🙅🏻‍♂️.

🗣 If you’re wondering how to pronounce the name, it is “pea-toe”, but don’t worry if you still say and hear “pay-toe”, it’s how many people still say it!

🏙 One fantastic photography location in is the Wells Kinzie Garage, which offers a unique S curve turn in the CTA tracks with an opportunity to capture the L train as it snakes between the modern buildings of downtown.
