Last year’s recital? Whew.
We went all in with our Esther theme—from the story, to the costumes, to the choreography—and honestly, it was so worth it.
I started thinking about that theme early in the year, and working with it was both a gift and a challenge.
A challenge, because having a theme can feel like a bit of a cage—every song, every piece, has to line up with the story you're trying to tell.
But it’s also easier in a way, because you’re not just picking random music—you’re building something with meaning. A thread. A message. A moment.
One of my favorite parts was teaching my students about the story of Esther. Not just the drama, but the message: boldness, identity, and God's timing. Watching them embody those themes on stage? Unmatched. And not to brag… but it was really good. 😌😁😁
This year? We’re not telling a story.
But we are sharing something just as powerful.
Something rooted in worth, movement, and worship.
And yes—you need to be there.
