Sergei Sviatchenko talks to Ukrainian arts journal МіТЄЦ about how LESS looks to realise his thesis 'Art in the structure of the Cities' during this studies in Kiev School of Architecture.

"The system of 'Environment-People-Contemporary Art' is based on the principle that art and architecture in different epochs have had an artistic-figurative and aesthetic impact on people and and communities.

"in this way LESS looks to connect the internal and external spaces of city buildings (art inside and outside), bringing art closer to the viewer as part of the architectural composition of the city'

In September 2020 Viborg was made a UNESCO Creative City, with LESS festival forming a core part of its future ambitions. We are excited to be able to continue to grow LESS festival in 2021.

Anna Bu Kliewer is mixed media collage artist working with both analogue and digital. Her artworks carving forms and figures merged from flowers, fabrics and environment with gestures of nature and renewal. Artist: LUCIA PIZZANI | Lucia's ‘Acorazodoa’ series was created during the 2020 lockdown period using archive and original photography. Continuing her artistic enquiry into the organic and environment, the series focuses on the Pangolin, reflecting on its natural armour of scales, a second skin, to present visions of nature as refuge in the fragile landscape of 2020. The word’ Acorazadas’ means ‘armoured’ with the female suffix in Spanish. Lucia was born in Caracas, Venezuela, 1975.
