The artistic and educational work of Global Jazz Explorer Institute is deeply founded in the heritage of the Jazz tradition, the tradition of North Indian Classical Music, Western classical music and other global musical tradition. The embodiment of knowledge and command of the language of different musical cultures is based on Lars Møller’s long-term musical apprentaships with some of the world most prominent artists and educators: David Liebman (Saxophone), Bob Brookmeyer (Composition) and Anant Lal and Daya Shankar (Indian Classical Music on the woodwind instrument “Shahnei”). EDUCATION
Based on the global musical vision, Global Jazz Explorer Institute has a mission in promoting awareness, appreciation and understanding in connection with each artistic project through. GJEI facilitates project with meetings between the younger generation and the Activities include creation of educational material and articles, School Concerts, Workshops and Seminars in partnerships with Universities, High Schools, Public Schools and School Concert Organization (see partners).
