Only 10km north from the Copenhagen city center, there is a place called - a small beautiful palace which was a royal summer residence at some point. The palace was named after Princes Charlotte Amalie, who was responsible for its construction. Nowadays it’s a cultural event venue.

This church is a bit special and it’s called The sand covered church. In the 18th century people struggled with it quite a lot as it was partially buried by sand from nearby dunes. So whenever a service was to be held, someone had to dig out the entrance. Finally in 1795 it was abandoned and this is the only part of the original structure still standing.

This is another house with a great view. It’s located on the Løkken strand. I’m sure it’s a pleasure to wake up every morning with the sea outside the window. The only danger is that it might slide down at some point🙄

We have big enough waves in Denmark for surfriders but this post is not about big waves. It’s rather about those people who have a courage to surf when the temperature outside is close to 0. I was standing there wearing my the most warm winter jacket and had no desire to even take my gloves😂 However I could endlessly watch how they try to catch the right moment and get the opportunity to ride the wave.
