DYNAMO giver rum til nycirkus og ny scenekunst og er beliggende på havnen i Odense i et gammel pakhus. Det er et rum til dig hvor du kan producere din nye forestilling, øve den gamle op, afprøve ideer, ansøge om residency ophold, deltage i masterclasses eller give en masterclass. Lave et håndstands jam, you name it, rummet er stort, der er højt til loftet og mulighederne mange! (English)

The space is big and high! It`s a space for you to produce your new show, rehearse your old and try out new ideas: You can apply for recidencies, take part in masterclasses, or make one yourself...you name it!

🇩🇰Der er masser at opleve denne weekend til ForårsBizar — vores to dage lange fejring af foråret ved havnen er fyldt med aktiviteter! 🌸

Kom og oplev cirkusforestillingen Grand Danois (husk billet!), leg på vores cirkuslegeplads, lad børnene deltage i workshops og få ansigtsmaling, eller nyd solen med lidt frokost og noget koldt fra vores gorilla bar.

Bliv hængende til DJ-set lørdag aften, og kom med bag kulisserne på en helt ny cirkusforestilling, når vores nuværende artist-in-residence deler en work in progress søndag eftermiddag.

Bonus: Vores naboer fra Nordatlantisk Hus holder også vintage- og kunstmarked lørdag.

Det hele er gratis (bortset fra Grand Danois), så der er ingen grund til ikke at tage en weekendtur forbi havnen ✨

🇬🇧There’s so much to do this weekend at the ForårsBizar - our two days of Spring celebration are full with stuff to do:

Come enjoy the Grand Danois circus show (remember a ticket!), or play at our circus playground; have your kids attend workshops & get face paint; enjoy the sun with some lunch & something cold from our bar, stay for the evening DJ set on Saturday, and come behind the scenes of a brand new circus performance, with our current artist resident who is sharing a work in progress on Sunday afternoon at 17.00!

📣Our neighbours from Nordatlantisk Hus also have a vintage- and art-market on Saturday.

All of it is free entrance (aside from Grand Danois!) You have no reason to not make it a weekend at the harbour!

DYNAMO er glade modtagere af en bevilling fra Nordea-fondens Renoveringspulje.
Nordea-fonden har generøst støttet vores projekt for renovering af facade og indgang med 377.800 kr.
Projektet skal skabe mere synlighed og tilgængelighed for vores gæster, og samtidig bidrage med mere liv og aktivitet i byrummet på Odense Havn.
Vi går i gang med projektet senere på året, så hold øje med vores kanaler, hvor vi deler glimt fra processen undervejs!

Om projektet: ✨

Mange har faktisk sagt til os, at de ikke helt vidste hvad der foregår inde i DYNAMO
At det har været svært at se, at der gemmer sig et cirkushus, et teater, kunstnere, koncerter og vilde idéer bag facaden, og at man meget gerne må kigge ind.

Det vil vi lave om på!

Med støtte fra Nordea-fondens Renoveringspulje går vi nu i gang med at skabe en mere synlig, åben facade og indgang.
Et hus der bedre viser, hvem vi er:
Et sted for samtidscirkus, fællesskab, frivillighed, kunst og vildskab.

Vi håber, at endnu flere får lyst til at kigge forbi, være nysgerrige, hænge ud og føle sig velkomne i vores cirkushus på havnen.

DYNAMO is the happy recipient of a Nordea grant - dedicated to renovation!

Nordea Fonden has generously awarded 377,800 kr to our facade & entrance renovation project, meant to create more visibility and accessibility for our visitors, and more excitement for urban space at Odense Harbour!
We will start the project later this year - keep an eye with our channels for insights from the process!

✨About the project: ✨
A lot of people have actually told us that they didn’t really know what was going on inside DYNAMO.
That it’s been difficult to see that behind the facade there’s a circus house, a theatre, artists, concerts, and wild ideas, and that you’re actually very welcome to come inside.
We want to change that!
With support from Nordea-fonden’s Renovation Fund, we’re now starting work on creating a more visible, open, and inviting facade and entrance.
A house that better reflects who we are: A place for contemporary circus, community, volunteering, art, and wild creativity.
We hope even more people will feel inspired to stop by, be curious, hang out, and feel welcome in our circus house by the harbour.

🇩🇰Sikke en fantastisk nyhed at modtage! To af vores co-produktioner er blevet nomineret til Årets Reumert prisen!

Turbulence af Out of Balanz er nomineret i kategorien Årets særforestilling, og Hvorfor Bliver det Nat af Korbo er nomineret til Årets børne- og ungdomsforestilling!
Vi er utroligt stolte af, at disse to forestillinger, som viser samtidscirkus’ mangfoldighed og mange discipliner, bliver anerkendt og fejret!

✨Turbulence arbejder med temaer som klimaforandringer, klimaangst, migration og fremtidens uforudsigelighed. Forestillingen er instrueret af Troels Hagen Findsen med et internationalt cast af cirkusartister og er co-produceret af DYNAMO og AFUK Scee.

✨Hvorfor Bliver det Nat er en poetisk og visuelt stærk familieforestilling om lys, mørke, drømme og magi. Skabt og opført af Claus Kaarsgaard, Léna Rondé og David Tholander. Produceret af Korbo og co-produceret af DYNAMO!

🇬🇧What amazing news to receive! Two of our co-productions have been nominated for this year’s Reumert Awards! 📣

Turbulence by Out of Balanz is nominated in the category Special performance of the year, and Hvorfor Bliver det Nat by Korbo is nominated for Children’s and Youth Performance of the Year!

We are incredibly proud that these two performances which show richness and diversity of contemporary circus and its many disciplines are being recognized and celebrated!

✨Turbulence engages with themes such as climate change, environmental urgency, climate migration, and the unpredictability of the future. Turbulence was directed by Troels Hagen Findsen, with an international cast of circus artists, and co-produced by DYNAMO and AFUK.

✨Hvorfor Bliver det Nat is a poetic and visually striking family performance exploring light, darkness, dreams, and magic. Created and performed by Claus Kaarsgaard, Léna Rondé , and David Tholander. Produced by Korbo and co-produced by DYNAMO!

🇩🇰 Velkommen til vores nye praktikanter – Sonia & Jack!

Sonia er cirkusartist og arbejder også med produktion inden for scenekunst hos Copenhagen Collective. I dette praktikforløb skal hun bag kulisserne med planlægning af både store og små events på DYNAMO og lære, hvordan vi gør det, vi gør. :)
Jack er praktikant inden for grafisk design, og han kommer til at fokusere på at lege med visuel identitet og udvikle skæve, nye idéer til nogle af vores projekter!

Sonia is a circus artist who also works with performing arts production for the Copenhagen Collective company; in this internship she will go behind the scenes of planning events, big and small, in DYNAMO and learn how we do what we do. :)

Jack is a graphic design intern, and he will focus his internship on playing with visual identity and developing quirky new things for some of our projects!
