Conversation between Victor Valqui Vidal and Christopher Sand-Iversen on the book "Peruaner - from Peru to DTU"
written by Victor Valqui Vidal.

Thursday the 6th of November at 17-19 hour at ANA, Rådmandsgade 34, 2200 Copenhagen N.

Visual artist, author and mathematician Victor Valqui Vidal will introduce his book "Peruaner - fra Peru til DTU" by re-opening the conversation between himself and editor at RSS Press and curator at Sixty Eight Art Institute, Christopher Sand-Iversen, that originally initiated Valqui Vidal´s writings.
The book describes Valqui Vidal´s travels - geographically and between fields of work. From Peru to DK, and from mathematics to art. Sand-Iversen and Valqui Vidal will elaborate on their conversation and talk about connections intertwined in art, work science, visual poetry, travels and general life.

ANA and the text collective Fredag Aften are pleased to present a screening of the essay film Att ha rätt (English: To Be Right) from 2023 by the Swedish visual artist David Torstensson. The film will be accompanied by an installation at ANA. After the screening, Fredag Aften invites you for some food and a conversation about some of the film's themes.

The following day, Torstensson will invite you to a drawing workshop about weight, lightness, work and rest based on some of the objects that appear in the film. There will be an opportunity to watch the film before and after the workshop.

In Att ha rätt, a father's involvement in a small communist vanguard party is placed in relation to his free church background. The film portrays both a personal grieving process and suggests a different political legacy than the father's intended one. Is there/there anything to learn for collective practice today?

Att ha rätt is the first part of a two-part essay film project entitled För sen ankomst (English: Tardy Arrival), which takes as it´s starting point individual examples of Christian and communist organizing in the context of the southern Swedish region of Småland. The second part, with the working title Läsesällskapet (English: The Reading Community), examines through theater-based processes collective closeness and distance in a small Christian revival that at the end of the 18th century is said to have collectivized their belongings in order to serve God full-time. För sen ankomst 2 will be presented at a later date.

ANA glæder sig over, at Hanni Kamaly har indledt sit to-delte residency-ophold i atelieret, hvor hun arbejder med et projekt under arbejdstitlen “Object/Other”.

Projektet er en kunstnerisk udforskning af det historiske samspil mellem forskning, politik, museologi og kunst med henblik på at vise, hvordan disse til sammen udgør en vidensproduktion, som har efterladt spor i vores samtids visuelle og materielle kultur. Projektet er baseret på forskning i brugen af visuelle midler, fotografier og skulpturer i fremstillingen af “racer”, og hvordan dette var med til at forme det politiske landskab.

Hannis research i ANA tager udgangspunkt i københavnske arkivers hengemte vidensbyrd ang. en række skulpturer af Ellen Locher-Thalbitzer. Ellen Locher-Thalbitzer var samtidig med Astrid Noack.

Vi glæder os til, at følge Hannis proces og invitere til nedslag i den senere i forløbet.

Hanni Kamaly (født i Hedmark, 1988) er forskningsbaseret billedkunstner bosiddende i Malmö. Kamalys praksis afdækker fortællinger om subjektdannelse gennem skulptur, film og performance. Kamaly intervenerer i race- og kolonihistorien for at fremhæve øjeblikke af dehumanisering og konstruktionen af 'den anden'.

Sidste uge med udstillingen ''Refleksioner om jord og landbrug''.
Åbent onsdag kl. 15-18 og fredag kl. 16-19.
På fredag åbner Maia op for et par flasker cider samt saft fra nogle af de medvirkende jordbrugere. Som altid er alle varmt velkomne.

Billedet er fra filmværkerne i udstillingen, de er lavet på 16mm og fremkaldt i kaffe.

Last week with the exhibtion ''Reflections on soil and agriculture''. Opening hours are Wednesday 3-6 PM and Friday 4-7 PM.
On Friday Maia will open up a few bottles of cider and juice from the contributing farmers. As always, everybody's warmly welcome.

The photo is from the film pieces in the exhibtion, made on 16mm and developed in coffee.
