This is Nordic Opera Choir 2026! ✨
After receiving a record-breaking 120+ applications, we are thrilled to present the singers of Nordic Opera Choir 2026.

A remarkable group of young artists from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland, including both conservatory students and professional singers. Together, they represent some of the most promising young voices in Nordic classical music and opera.

This August, they will come together in Sweden for our annual rehearsal camp before setting out on the Nordic Tour 2026. For the first time, the choir will be accompanied by an orchestra at every concert in every country on the tour – an exciting artistic milestone that will elevate the concert experience for both singers and audiences alike.

Conductor for Nordic Opera Choir 2026

"We are truly delighted that Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir will continue as conductor in 2026. She is a talented conductor, and her work in 2025, together with the many positive responses from both singers and orchestra, made it a natural decision for us to continue the collaboration. As a former singer in Nordic Opera Choir, she brings a unique understanding of the choir and knows firsthand what it takes to be part of it. We’re looking forward to another season with Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir, bringing wonderful music to life with the singers and the orchestras."

We’re thrilled to invite singers from all of the Nordic countries to apply for Nordic Opera Choir 2026.

Who can apply?�
Singers aged 18-35 who is either a resident or citizen of one of the nordic contries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands or Greenland. Both professional singers and students enrolled in a a relevant musical education programme are welcome to apply.
