In this great video, Sam Loose clearly and practically shows how to integrate real guitar pedals directly into Logic Pro – and print the sound straight into your session.

Here he uses the Carl Martin HeadRoom and Carl Martin PlexiRanger, routed via the built-in reamp functionality of the IK Multimedia Axe I/O.

What’s especially inspiring is how he demonstrates that hardware can add that extra bit of character – the subtle imperfections, interaction and analogue response that give a production more personality and depth.
