Sharing more moments from Culture Night at platform BUNKER and its adjoining spaces. During the evening, we hosted two exhibitions and a concert.

One of these was Connections - a family exhibition exploring inheritance and networks—biological, digital, and cultural. Created by Rebekka Bohse Meyer
Rebekka Meyer together with her mother, visual artist Tine Meyer
Tine Meyer, and her sister, opera singer Katinka Meyer, the work brings together oil paintings inspired by digital circuits with electronic sound.

Presented throughout the evening at Rolfsvej 10, the exhibition traced patterns of connection across generations.

Tine Meyer is a Danish visual artist working with painting and pattern. Her practice explores geometric structures found in nature, cultural ornamentation, and digital systems, translating circuit boards and code into organic visual forms.

Katinka Meyer is a soprano working across classical and contemporary music. Her practice spans opera, newly composed works, and interdisciplinary collaborations, with a focus on extended vocal expression.

Rebekka Meyer is an artist and composer creating sound-based and interdisciplinary works. Her practice combines research, sound, performance, and new technologies, often exploring audience engagement and hybrid operatic forms.

Finally sharing moments from the Culture Night 2025 at platform BUNKER.
During the Culture Night we hosted two exhibitions and a concert.

One of these was 'Silver, Stones and Sparkles' — a kinetic sound installation by Sól Ey made specially for the bunker's dome-shaped architecture.

Across cultures, metallic rattling has been used to drive away spirits and misfortune. Inspired by this ritualistic power, the work places visitors inside a giant, mechanically controlled tambourine, where rocks, metal, and silver create a shifting sonic choreography—turning the bunker into a resonant shelter from the outside world.

Sól Ey is an Icelandic composer and new media artist working with sound, movement, light, and the body, often through interactive and immersive technologies. Currently, her artistic research focuses on the possibilities of the human body when extended with electronics or objects.

Sól Ey's piece was kindly supported by KODA Kultur

The exhibition As Roots Grow Back Into Us with Christine Hvidt is still open every day from 15-18 until October 5!

On October 4, we will host an Underground Listening Laboratory - a guided session where Christine invites us to dig deeper into her listening approach.
Which hidden creatures share the city with us, and what opens in us when we listen with them? This guided listening session invites you beneath the surface of a Copenhagen backyard to explore the sounds and perspectives of more-than-human life.

We look forward to seeing you!

This weekend, we are hosting two Listening Laboratories where you can listen to the undergrounds that surround the bunker.
The Listening Laboratories are created in connection with the exhibition As Roots Grow Back Into Us by Christine Hvidt, which will be exhibited at platform BUNKER from September 25-28 and October 2-5.

11:00-13:00 | For kids, from 5 years old, in Danish with English translations available
17:00-19:00 | For all ages, in English
at platform BUNKER, Rolfsvej 10-12, 2000 Frederiksberg

Which creatures live with us in a backyard in Copenhagen, and what does it open in us when we listen with them?

One might think that 'nature' and other (-than-human) species only exist far out in the countryside, but actually we have many fascinating neighbors right here in the city – fungi, birds, insects, and creatures living in the ground!
In the Listening laboratory, you will get up close to these hidden creatures by absorbing their sounds and perspectives through a poetic underground listening experience, guided by Christine Hvidt. We explore our relationship with other species in the urban space and how we can learn from them.

Participation is free, but registration is recommended: https://forms.gle/utWFgpAFUGvMc8sG9

~~~
As Roots Grow Back Into Us offers shelter from the fast-paced urban pressures, inviting the audience into an underground sonic world where non-linear, ecocentric logics prevail. Through a responsive sound installation and performative listening sessions, it guides the way into a sonic underworld that extends beyond human time and boundaries.
Christine Hvidt is a Danish multidisciplinary artist exploring relational frameworks that reconnect with other life and planetary ecosystems. Combining art, technology, ecology, science, and animism through sound, responsive systems, and embodiment, Christine creates tangible encounters with the intelligences and forces of the natural world.
Thank you to everyone who came to the opening of Charter Rite by Sara Malie last Thursday. The exhibition is open today and tomorrow from 15-18!
Hope to see you there!
Charter Rite is a site-specific installation and dystopian holiday scene that explores the performative nature of tourism and its neo-imperialist undertones. By exaggerating the concept of charter travel, it questions whether escaping to new landscapes truly transforms us or merely reinforces existing power structures. The installation is made in collaboration with sound artist Carl Ludvig Bjørklund Moulvad.
