Presenting the first artists of EVES #7
car piece
by Mikka Mallow & Marcos Nacar
In our research for car piece we approach an object saturated by symbolic imaginaries, while also examining it in its state as pure matter. Through a succession of accidents and intentional actions, three bodies immerse themselves in a play of forces, distances, directions and affects. By tracing paths between materiality and symbolism, we attend to the car both in the density of its potential meanings and the process of its hollowing.
In an oscillation that displaces its ontology while retaining it, multiple modes of perception and meaning-making unfold â what emerges when we meet this object not just as a car, but as a shifting constellation of weight, memory, and motion?

Artist bios:
Mikka Mallow is a performing artist with a background in sociology and dance, working at the intersection of movement, community, and curation. He is a member of the artist-driven studio and platform Dance Cooperative, and curates the stage program for UbĂ„den at BĂ„dteatret. His artistic work explores somatic practices and strategies that cultivate new perceptual habits and intimacies â ways of relating to the material world, its emergent liveliness and layered memories.
Marcos Nacar is a Catalan performance and video artist, and independent researcher based in Berlin, and currently studying the masters program New performative practices in Stockholm. Drawing on autofiction, Nacar explores dance and performance as documentary media, creating scenarios where fact and fiction intersect. He examines our speciesâ relationship with the landscape and the shifting states lying between presence and absence. He works mainly with movement and video, using poetry and text as a support to contextualize and concretize the meaning of his work. With a background in law and philosophy, he departs from theoretical material and puts it into motion as a way to rediscover and unveil ideas through embodied experience.
