On our first floor, we are excited to present three new works by Lisbon-based artist Mia Middleton.

Middleton’s work explores memory and evocation. Her small-scale paintings capture a tension and threshold between conscious and subconscious, desire and aversion and reality and fantasy.

What feelings do they evoke in you? 🖤

Nova Jiang, Crown, 2022

Welcoming you at our entrance is one of Nova Jiang’s artworks.

Jiang’s paintings bring together familiar elements and unexpected arrangements to explore the formation of identity and our often uneasy relationship with nature.

Stop by and experience the intricate details up close 🌱

The flower is one of art history’s most enduring motifs: universally recognisable, aesthetically accessible, and layered with meanings of life and death, love and loss, fragility and new beginnings. Decorative and political.

In I Can Buy Myself Flowers, the perspective shifts: What happens when the flower is given to oneself?

Taking its title from Miley Cyrus’ hit, and reaching back to Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway, the exhibition explores self-care, agency, and the right to take oneself seriously without withdrawing from the collective.

Featuring 13 international artists. A catalogue accompanies the exhibition with new texts by .holten, and Steen Jakobsen, and new poetry by Sebastian Nathan.
