DEPARTMENTS at CMYK kld:
1. The Print Factory (Printfabrikken)
The first and only invention, when the shop opened in 2006. Here you can choose one of the many A4 sized artworks by approximately 50 named artists and illustrators, have it printed and framed t
o take with you for only 100kr (framed 185kr). Part of the fun is the steps you have to go through to buy it, which is like a little performance in its own right.
2. The Book Shelve (Bogreolen)
An artwork in itself assembled from various wooden chairs cut up and put back together to form a beautiful book shelve painted grey as everything else in the shop. On the shelves you will find zines, magazines, art books, cartoons and catalogues by independent publishers or individuals. And only books with pictures.
3. The Shopping Mall (Butikscenteret) - closed
The Mall consisted of 30 grey square boxes on the wall each representing a shop owned by an artist/designer. The artists were responsible for the interior design of their box and displayed handmade products within these frames, which resulted in some fine miniature exhibitions. All the objects were of course for sale.
4. The Exhibition area (Udstillingsarealet)
Three walls 120x200 cm, representing the contrary to the print factory, original artworks by changing artists.
5. The Stage (De skrå brædder)
A platform in the window, used during exhibitions for performances.
6. The Card tower (Korthuset)
A showcase for postcards, with miniature windows. (Text from www.spottedbylocals.com)
