Last year at Bladr Forlaget Gestus curated an exhibition called "In hindsight I will continue to have continuous insights".
The artists which were part of this all has the experience of living in racialized bodies, as well as all of them having an art practice with is situated between language, litterature and art and working with this in a subversive way.
Now we have made three artist books where the works has been translated into this format. The artists of these beautiful books are: Marina Dubia, Samara Sallam and Abbas Zahedi.
The books functions as poster on one side, book when turned and folded and sculpture when standing.
To CELEBRATE we are having a book release at Obra Press, who also printed the books.
Each book costs 100 kr, all three costs 250 kr. All money received goes to the Ghassan Kanafari Foundation.
Kanafari was a Palestinian writer and leader and he was assassinated by the Isrealis by bombing his car in 1972. All donations are used for a kindergarten in Lebanon run by his wife. The kindergarten serves as a place for Palestinian refugees and there children.
