🤩 Every child learns differently and here at little movers we share the same principle ✨

We're not born with the natural ability to understand where our body is in space. It takes play, movement, and practice to feel how far away our hand is from our mouth; how far away our big toe is from our ankle; how far away our right hand is from our left hand when we clasp our hands above our head like a rocket.

Some children are able to grasp the concept of body awareness and spatial awareness relatively quickly through the sensation called proprioception.

Other children need visual biofeedback from moving their body in front of a mirror or watching their movement repeated back to them with a partner, in order to master the skills needed for body awareness and spatial awareness.

🤩 Yes 🙌🏼 exactly this, we need more of this way of learning because, well, we all learn differently (auditory/visual/kinesthetic) this type of learning covers all 3, and it’s much more fun (and healthy) to move around and learn, than trying to sit our curious and energetic children down on a chair for hours on end, and the results here speak for themselves 🤩
