The Swiss-Lebanese duo Praed have just released their sixth album, Al Wahem الوهم, and are marking the occasion with a return to Copenhagen, once again inviting local audiences into their captivating blend of hypnotic shaabi and ecstatic electronic music.

When Raed Yassin’s electronic, kaleidoscopic beats meet Paed Conca’s wailing clarinet, they open up a rich sonic landscape where Lebanese wedding music effortlessly draws from spiritual jazz, krautrock’s motorik rhythms, and techno’s driving trance. The result sits somewhere between ecstatic devotional music and gritty underground energy.

Svarte Greiner builds simple, fragile sound passages that gradually become enveloped in reverb, delay, and textural layers. Prepared techniques function as both percussive and dissonant elements, resulting in surreal, cinematic sound collages where beauty and darkness coexist within slowly shifting structures.

By no means is Tegn your ordinary improv duo

Drawing on post-rock, drone, and free improvisation, the local duo Tegn conjures hypnotic, free-flowing soundscapes, blending minimalism in the vein of bands like The Necks and Dirty Three with cinematic americana.

Magnus Munk Tækker’s longing lap steel motifs intertwine with Jens Højbøge Mosegaard’s playful drumming, forming tension-filled, extended improvisations in which the traditional relationship between solo and rhythm instruments dissolves.
