There’s something strange about hitting that so-called midlife crisis.
Not the kind where you buy a sports car or move to Bali.
Apparently mine looks more like this:
“What if I just… train for a HYROX Pro in two weeks?”
As a tattoo artist, shop owner, and entrepreneur, life is already a constant mix of buzzing machines, clients coming and going, ideas turning into projects, and a business that always needs to grow.
New concepts. New directions. New branches of the shop.
And somehow, in the middle of all that, I also thought:
“You know what would make sense right now? A marathon.”
So now I’m signed up for a marathon in less than two months.
My longest run this year?
4 km.
Perfect planning.
But maybe that’s the point.
Building a shop, building projects, building something bigger than yourself — it kind of feels like training for something you’re never fully ready for.
You just take the next step.
And then the next one.
Sometimes it feels like a sprint.
Sometimes like a HYROX.
And right now… a bit like a marathon.
But maybe it’s not really about being ready.
Maybe it’s about being willing to step up to the start line anyway.
So now I run.
Between tattoos, meetings, ideas, and deadlines.
If this is a midlife crisis,
I’m honestly pretty okay with it.
