As our dear friend ⭐️British playwright John Foster ⭐️so joyfully reminded us, our first HIT International Theatre Arts production hit the stage 5 years ago 🎉🥂🍾🎊🎈

After the premiere and a week of performances in Hamburg at the English Theatre Of Hamburg (27th of July - August) the play travelled north to Malmö and performed at Bastionen over the first August weekend 🎭🎭🎭

What a blast to remember our happy Hamburg and happy Sweden premiere of "HAP", which was revived in 2024 to also get its run at Teatret ved Sorte Hest in Copenhagen 🇸🇪🇩🇪🇩🇰

This has been such a fabulous collaboration and such a fun play to put on. Thank you John and Paul - you are always such a pleasure to work with 🫶🙏🫶

ABOUT THE PLAY
An original multilingual adaptation which springs from and is inspired by the play "Mary Stuart" by Friedrich Schiller; a brand new text-and-movement creation focusing on the lives and haunting destiny of historical figures Mary Stuart Queen of Scots and Queen Elisabeth the First. 👑👑

They were women, they were queens and they were cousins; destined to be enemies from birth, united by power, tossed into a seething political maelstrom, a tale as relevant to today as it is to the past. The play is a mystery-crime-story investigating power and gender from the perspective of what possibilities a Queen has to rule in a man's world.

BERLIN BERLIN 💃💃💃
"Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt" is the most famous song from the legendary German motion picture "DER BLAUE ENGEL" (THE BLUE ANGEL), the film that would turn Marlene Dietrich into an international acclaimed film star.💃🌟

Yet many other German actress tried to get cast in Germany`s first talking picture, directed by Hollywood director Josef Von Sternberg👯‍♀️. Film producer Erich Pommer (Metropolis, Professor Caligari) needed a lot of patience and good nerves to manage the heat and casting hysteria behind the scenes🔥😂.

BERLIN BERLIN will return to Teatret ved Sorte Hest in April 2027 💫💫💫

Berlin between the 1920s and 1930s is a city full of contrasts and a dance on the edge of a volcano! 💃🔥 A wild celebration of culture like nothing known before, threatened by the abyss to come. The first German democracy, know as the "Weimar Republic" ended with the rise of the N**i regime in the early 1930'ies.
